Who is running for County Judge?

What happened to the prior thread that asked about who was running for county judge? Poof it's gone, like it never existed! It appears that there was something in that thread that someone didn't want people to see. They went to great lengths to sweep that information under the rug from prying eyes. Someone flexed their political muscle but we can post the information again.

My guess it was the little gnome, Florence. He does not want to believe everyone is not as in love with him as he is with himself. I still think Harold Eavenson would make a great judge. Problem with that is he makes more money than the judge. No matter how many prisoners Florence supposedly
"arraigns" he is still not worth the the money he has set up to pay himself. What a little moron. The Lake Pointe people must be sooooo embarrassed.

This forum was taken down as a result of libel. Any libel would cause the destruction of a complete forum. Thus for the politicians, remember that. If there is a forum that you do not want that exists, libel yourself, and then quickly complain to the company, flag it.

The particular matter that triggered the removal was the accusation of DWI convictions of a candidate running for judge. Those accusations directly accuse of an untrue event or crime as DWI records do not exist for the named individual. As a result, by Topix policies, libel resulted in the whole forum being wiped. Chris Florance was not responsible for this removal.

You can say whatever you want about a politician, public figure with only a few exceptions. If you notice the sheer volume of posts that do not make sense between Matt Scott and Mary Lou Hawkins Curtis, you would realize that those posts remained while the County Judge was destroyed. In their posts, Matt Scott and Mary Lou Hawkins Curtis call each other names and Curtis rambles on things that do not make sense. That does not constitute libel as both are public persons.

To libel a public person and have a forum destroyed from it. Someone does the following:

1. Directly, accuse the public person of an untrue crime. Directly state that the public person in the past committed a crime, when untrue. DWI is a crime as it has fine and potential jail time to it.

2. Accuse of adultery or unfaithfulness. The fights between Matt Scott and Curtis, borders being taken down when flagged as Ms. Curtis has accused Matt Scott of flashing money around to dollar store women. It is completely untrue and silly. But Ms. Curtis has not libeled Matt Scott as she did not state that there was activity involved, flashing money in a dollar store to look rich, even though it is untrue, is not libel. Ms. Curtis simply says crazy things.

3. Accuse public person of having a disease. For this to be libel, it would have to be more than a politician giving you a cold or flu. It would have to be a disease that would change their public relations and cause damage to their person in the community.

If you want this forum to last. Then keep these three rules for politicians and libel in mind. The rules apply only to politicians. If you trash a non public person/ non politician in an untrue manner at all, then that is libel. Trashing a non public person has zero protection from libel.

Sometimes, Mz. Mary Lou does have some good things to say. She may overemphasize the thought, but at least she starts the thought. NO one else has her nerve. Do I think her crazy? Aren't we all?

Here MAtt Scott running for office. Here that he is running as a democrat. Republicans must have gotten tired of him and broderick not sign his little form. Will make fine district attorney, maybe put money into that office instead of taking money out like Sumrows. DA office always needs new equipment, Matt Scott can buy new computers for them to make up for what was taken by Sumrow. Maybe Matt Scott knows what he is doing better than current office does.
