Good! If the government will not properly sanction them I am sure a jury in a civil trial will.

do you feel this case should be settled out of court or go to trial?

Most likely they will settle unless a pro-illegal group pays to defend them. Perhaps the ACLU will ague that they have a constitutional right to hire illegal aliens.
Howard Ind. is as I recall a privately held company and they depend on military contracts. I think they have aired their linen in public enough. Most likely they and those involved in awarding them contracts have had more attention then they want already.

Way to go with the lawsuit! It's about time! Get this info to the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Warren Ballentine and other Black radio hosts to get the news out to the masses! I am so tired of so-called Black leaders pandering to illegal immigrant groups! Jesse and Al, get on board to protect the rights of Americans, Black and White, or go live in Mexico, Central America or South America with the majority of the Latino illegals!

South Side business ablaze same day as 23 OSHA citations issued

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire at a South Side chemical-processing business on the same day the company was cited for 23 safety violations.

A mix of chemicals exploded in a duct and sparked the fire at Howard Industries Inc. at 1840 Progress Ave. about 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Columbus Division of Fire.

Earlier that day, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited the company, saying that it failed to protect workers from electrical hazards and had other violations, according to an OSHA news release.

The citations stemmed from a December inspection. The company faces more than $70,000 in fines, according to OSHA.

It was the second time in less than a year that Howard Industries was cited by OSHA for failing to ensure that electrical conductor boxes were properly closed, posing a shock risk.

The company received four citations in the past five years and has been fined more than $5,000 for safety violations at the Columbus facility, records show.

Howard Industries is a chemical-processing company, according to its website. The company also has processing sites in Newport News, Va., and West Memphis, Ark.

No one representing the company could be reached yesterday.

The fire isn't considered to be suspicious, said Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Doug Smith.

No one was injured in the fire, which was contained about 9 p.m. Hazmat crews arrived about 30 minutes later to monitor chemical levels in the air, Smith said, but no homes in the area had to be evacuated.

An OSHA inspector was sent to the scene yesterday to determine whether health or safety violations contributed to the fire and whether the fire created any conditions that would pose a risk to employees returning to work, said OSHA spokeswoman Rhonda Burke.

I've applied there....but won't anymore...After what has come out in the news, not just about illegal aliens, but their poor record on safety, I don't believe this is a viable company in which to work......Hope OSHA opens an office next door.....

There's a lawsuit against Henningsen Foods, David City you might want to review.
