Laurel should enforce the transient vendor code?

Do you believe the City of Laurel should enforce the transient vendor code?

This is a poll on LLCs site. So far people are in favor. I do not see the big deal. None of these people seem to be taking business from anyone in these empty parking lots.

Charging someone making very little a $250 fee means none will be there. They will move outside the city limits. So what's the point and what's the big deal? Most everything else continues to be ignored. Water lines, potholes, crack dealers, junk cars not in Ward West of 7th avenue but hey we got those Vendors.

Seems someone got bored and decided to show their worth as a city employee. Soon they'll get bored again, stop enforcing this and you'll wonder what happened.

Glad to know Laurel Police are to enforce this while real criminal operate in daylight.

Speaking of silly nonsense.......What happened to.

Cleaning up neighborhoods?
Mayor stopping gangs?
Stopping illegal parking downtown?
Getting rid of Abandoned cars?

Laurel, the town looking for the next thing to crack down on hard for a while, maybe. Then they realize it requires getting out of the office or truck.

I do know for a fact that the business owners are complaining aboout them being there. And its the cities responsabilty to pertect the business owners. But I do feel that the Police Department could be doing other things than having to police the vendors.

They always complain but if it's the ones at say across from Wendy's....That's usually an empty parking lot. Either way this is a case of enforcement that will quickly be followed by several years of dormant action.
