Heinous is the only word to describe how I felt hearing how this man was murdered by law enforcement while being held. I can only wonder what Mr. White went through in the moments before his death. What a sick commentary on what it is like living in a police state. At the end of the day, who polices the police? The answer: themselves.

Hopefully, he went through a lot of agony. Do you have any thought about what the police officer went through moments before his death? Didn't think so.

Reading the entire story makes the issue very clear..

This isn't about the lowlife who killed a police officer..It's about a system completely out of control..

That the lowlife should have been tried and, if convicted, given the most harsh sentence possible is undeniable..Having the jailers take over and meting out their form of "justice" is just plain wrong, IF that's what truly happened..

If the family becomes rich at the expense of the taxpayer, it won't be the fault of anyone but the jailers who are part of the corrupt system..

There isn't a person who objects to their suing who wouldn't do the same if this lowlife was their child..

The lowlife killed a police officer and, in my opinion deserves to pay with his life but, not at the hands of those payed by the taxpayers to hold him until proper justice can prevail..

This is not a race issue..It is, pure and simple, an issue of a justice system run amok..

White, 19, was arrested early Saturday on charges of ramming a stolen pickup truck into police Cpl. Richard Findley. Findley had gotten out of his police cruiser Friday while trying to conduct a traffic stop on the truck. White allegedly struck him and dragged him for a short distance in the community of Laurel.
Sounds like swift justice to me!
Now if we could do that to the OBVIOUSLY guilty scum more often, I bet crime would drop real fast.
I agree... but wouldn't it be great if that scum bag was hung and left out until the flies turned him into fly poop.

For all of you who think that this act was appropriate...you are probably the same people who advocate the current war in the name of defending freedom...freedom which is based on the Constitution...

This act by the officers was exactly the sort that the Constitution was designed to prevent. Although what the suspect allegedly did was worth the harshest of punishments (after being tried in the system), the fact that the cops may have taken the law into their own hands suggests that ANY one of you or your family members could next be brought into a cell and snuffed out on a whim as well.

You may hate the guy who hit and ran, and justifiably so, but what these cops did, at the very least, is an insult to all Americans. Just who the f*** do they think they are????

Don't forget, the police officer was someone's child, and someone's husband, and someone's father.

What about THEIR rights?

The perpetrator got exactly what he deserved.

I'm happy my tax dollars wont keep your sorry a** alive while you were to sit in jail for murdering a good man who spent his time protecting and serving our communities. Rest in peace Police Officer and Volunteer Fire Fighter Findley. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Why waste time on an investigation? He slipped and fell and hit his head. He should have watched where he was going. You can't be too careful.

This is justice in my eyes. If you don't want to be treated like a POS, don't act like one. If I saw this happen I would pretend that I didn't.
