When a man takes a gun and attempts to take another man's property, he should be ready to die if he chooses the wrong man. I wonder if Gadson and Arindell were?

I feel for these young men's family, but you never know who you may run into if you break the law. This should give others a second thought before they try to harm others in there laziness to make "easy money".

Geez- The poor-poor misunderstood Robbers, bullys, deadly assault types, fkg thugs caught in the fkg Act, "Victims" of a former Marine who simply had to defend his life. I am going to trade in my Puny little 38 special Derringer for a 9 mm auto- now. Incidentally I also am an ex Marine pilot and have a permit and would do exactly the same as my fellow Marine. Damn good idea- dropping the billfold to divert the S O Bs attention. Two less assholes off the streets- my take on this whole incident. Odd how relatives always think their 'little Angels' are so GD innocent. The Marine would have been murdered had he gone into that Head, I mean bath room. Shopping now for a 9mm.

The robber was a troubled guy trying to get his life together = GED??? Odd jobs??? Bought a car??? Has a girlfriend??? Sounds good so far. Why was he attempting to rob/commit a crime? The grandmother said he sometimes hung around with the wrong crowd. So what, was he held at gun point and forced to rob people and places? Wow - it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round. It sounds like the family could use some help and direction. It is clear why he was the way he was and it wasn't the crowd he was hanging with but rather the crowd that he lived with, came from. Help those people!!!

Your post really shows just how ignorant you are, and how very little you know about the actual incident. Since it's public record, why don't you get a copy of the actual report from the Plantation Police Department, and talk with the witnesses and the State Attorney's Office yourself. Until then, you are the one with the racist chip on your shoulder. You need to properly educate yourself before you can speak with any authority on THIS subject.

Better to allow the world to think you're a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I know that its hard for people to understand justice in these days. The men that Lovell shot made the decision to break the law. That was a stupid decision but one they made willingly. Because they chose the wrong victim is the chance they took. Condemning someone for protecting himself is ludicrous. Those who blame Lovell should examin their hearts and understand if it had been one of their own that was threatened, they would be on the opposite side of the argument. Hats off to the Plantation DA and police for not charging Lovell. Perhaps this is sending a message that will stop others from making the same decision.

This is what it will take to curb crime in south Florida. Lovell should get an award for being a top notch citizen and letting the thugs know that law abiding citizens will do what it takes to defend themselves.
