The Chief will eventually be fine. Once his personal embarrassment passes. Since you all are so quick to throw stones. I expect you to be the first in line with apologies if the facts turn out to different than the media has reported - Just a perspective.

Sgt. Who?, Sgt.? Really? That guy?(follow campbell county officer's orders). That is the problem with the law "encroachment" profession, so many little followers afraid to make up their own minds and only do what's necessary to accomplish the job. Afraid they will not be invited to the next... pool party, hot tub party(with 1 female officer and many male officers) or whatever cut-throat police event is sceduled in the future. Or just afraid another officer will run to the supervisor and tell on him, to gain "promotion points". Yeah the ole police profession....... just another name for stab your fellow officer in the back profession.
Peace Officer.....Huh...What's that mean anyway? I think it means See how many other associate officers I can harass and possibly ticket or arrest. Yes.. Right On Officers Keep It Up Love It!!!......

Jealousy is not a nice thing...keep on, keepin on, with your BS..........Ask yourselves why you can't do your job without slamminging one of your own.?????? That is too sad. Your day will come when you will depend on the same people that you thought protected you,and how will you react????? Yeh that's what I thought.

Rouse is no different than anyone else. It's about integrity and there are a ton of people in all occupations (the world for that matter) that lack a lot of it. You have to sit and wonder any more: Is my preacher a good guy? Is the cop doing the right thing? Is the teacher inappropriate with my child? Does any one in Congress really speak for me? Is the business owner ripping people off? Is a corporate person screwing my stock portfolio?
I wonder how God really looks at any of us any more and feels good.

After his new lawyer attacked the woman who supposedly called 911, I haven't heard anything about the case. As for Rouse being no different than anyone else, because of the position he holds, as with any police officer, his integrity should be questioned at all times. This is a person who is suppose to protect our community from crimes such as drunk driving, and once committing such a crime should not be allowed to sit in judgement of those committing the same crime. I lost a family member in an accident involving a drunk driver, had they not pulled this officer over in time he too could have taken a life through drunk driving which in my eyes is murder. Drunk driving should be looked at as an attempted murder, even one that is pre-meditated since the individual makes the conscious decision to drive under the influence, the penalities are more severe for not having insurance than they are for repeated DUI offenders. I would have rather my daughter been involved in an accident with someone who couldn't pay for the damage but was sober than for her to have been killed by a man who willing got behind the wheel of a car he couldn't control because of his level of intoxication. It has been only three years since her death and while she spends eternity under a concrete stone her killer spends his time driving under a suspended licisence because he petitioned the courts for a some hardship priveleges. If this small city allows the man to return to his position of Chief they are sending out a message to every person leaving a bar that it's ok to drink and drive and risk the chance of killing someone else. MADD whatever

Why is it most people have drunk driving comments to make only AFTER a death has occurred in their family circle.Your job has nothing to do with "Drunk Driving". I don't think ANYONE should lose their job, just because of a DUI. You pay the price by fines, jail, and humiliation. That's enough pay back to me. And hopefully, you learn your lesson to never drive while intoxicated.

Simply because my daughter was killed by a drunk driver is why my comment was made only after I lost her to a drunk driver. What is wrong with you that you are so heartless to my loss, I belong to MADD not as a job but as a victim of a drunk driver, I was not in the car but my daughter was not drinking, she was 17, do you know what it's like to see party tags on a car and wonder if that is the man that killed my little girl, or how angry it makes me watching people come into my job after a night of drinking, drunk off their asses and then sit at my table wanting me to wait on them, then watching them still drunk get back into their cars to atttempt to drive home. As far as fines, jail and humiliation where is the guilt, the self remorse, drunk driving is a selfish act and your response is a selfish response. Maybe what you mentioned is enough pay back for you and you sound as if your the one who got caught but for me, the fact that you get to go on living and I get to go on missing my child is not pay back at all. It saddens me the cold hearted way you have responded to my post, if your an officer of the law that you are not above the law and should be held accountable for your crimes more than a normal citizen, the students don't teach the teach but perhaps the community should start policing the police.

So according to you, a police officer should give up their civil rights so you can have yours just because you “say” you are a victim? Sounds fair, impartial, and equal to me,(NOT). You’re claiming MADD alright, but that is clearly an ill rational state of your mind, not a justice sword you feel you are entitled to wield as you choose. You are trying to superimpose a tragedy onto another U.S. citizen and that had nothing to do with it and that much is clearly wrong too period. Yes it was a tragedy you speak of, even though you and I know it is not true, but for your story it is a sad one that much is true, but a story never the less.

But as for the rest of your post, the land of the free will not tolerate vigilantes like you that ignore its Bill of Rights [i.e., all men are created and treated equal under the law, these rights are inalienable, and are self evident]. Meaning they apply to everyone equally. Yep, that means a police officer, plumber, garbage collector, and criminals alike. So if that bothers you it’s your choice, but you are FREE to move to another country. Either way, your particular situation has nothing to do with this one. If you want a pity party, have one. If you want to attempt to influence public perception about this one, at least “make-up” a story that has something to do with the matter at hand. This one clearly does not. All drunks are not created equal, men are and so are their rights-the same one’s you are entitled to and so are they, victim or not. Get a grip. A community should start policing some people's mouth and stupid opinions.
