Paul Anka ays Michael Jackson ripped off his song: But now there's been an agreement: Anka gets 50%

Full story: www.eurweb.com

*It's already starting. Within hours of its 12 a.m. Monday premiere on the Internet, there is already an accusation of plagiarism surrounding Michael Jackson's new single "This Is It." Singer-songwriter Paul Anka believes the King of Pop's tune rips off a 1983 song he co-wrote with Jackson called "I Never Heard." He tells TMZ that the song was even recorded in his studio in Carmel, Calif. TMZ reported: Anka says he took the tape to a studio in Hollywood to put the finishing touches on it for Anka's duets album, "Walk a Fine Line." Anka claims Jackson -- who was just blowing up at the time with "Thriller" -- got a big head and "stole the tapes" from the studio. Anka tells us he called the lawyers who repped both he and Jackson -- ironically one of them was John Branca -- and threatened them with a lawsuit if he didn't get the tapes back. Anka got them back but insists Jackson made a copy of the tapes and used the track with his voice from "I Never Heard" -- and simply retitled it, "This is It." Anka gave "I Never Heard" to another artist -- Safire -- who recorded it in 1990. Anka tells us he's talking with his lawyers about his legal options. UPDATE ... An executor of Jackson's estate, John Branca and Anka's legal team, have come to an agreement: the two co-wrote the song!

It's old news and pathetic that that excites you. Their 50 percent is more than your 0 percent.

Also compare the melody riff of "Thriller" to Steely Dan's "Do It Again"

I guess the f'loons will now say that the co-writers were the rip-off artists. Shame on Anka!

I see you're still unconscious to reality.
No different from other f'loons.

See - reality is a concept that exists around everybody. You just haven't woken to it yet.
Hence - Reality Awaits.

How many other songwriters will be coming forward to claim rights to songs they wrote? How many other songs did Michael Jackson steal?

Michael didn't steal anything! Anka wanted him to use his song for free and now he wants money for it. He is making money on Michaels death. He is a vultire. Michael didn't steal songs. He could write any song he wanted to write. He was the best you'll ever see in your life. He was rich and he's getting richer every day. You are poor and you'll always be poor. Rich wins. Ha ha.

Where you there and did you witness this personally? Had Paul Anka wanted MJ to use the song, he wouldn't have given it to another artist.

plenty, now that he's no longer here to defend himself....the same as celebrity children who write books about their "abusive" parents once their dead.
