I'm surprised people are amazed at the black bears. I've lived in Hillsboro almost all my life & we've had bears around since I & my family have been here.

12 ga. slug works fine at close range. For longer
ranges, I'd at least want to use a 30-06 with
150 gr. softnose. Bear meat is fine for dog food
and the hides make excellent coats or rugs. Look
out Yogi! We're coming to get ya!

HA! Exactly the type of response I expected
from the PETA crowd. I don't want to kill everything that moves as you say. Thats only canned response from those who are limited to
a Disney perspective. Is Springboro next on the list?

Now as far as your comment "maybe we should set our scopes on your ass", I am considering reporting this to TOPIX as a threat.

Waaahhhh! Waaahhhh! Waaahhhh!!

I'll call up Ingrid Newkirk too. I'm sure she will have plenty to say. Just think, if we can get these stupid bear hunting laws repealed
next year, I wont have to go all the way to Pennsylvania and buy a non-resident license. Watch out! Black bears especially like fat Poodles owned by wimpy Yuppies!

Wow, the bear killer mentality. Do you have one good reason for killing? Dont you buy your carpet or rug/coat at Walmart? You're not a hero, or a man, or any kind of man a real woman would want. You will answer to someone one day, who will not accept your killing reasoning.

I enjoy the hunt. No, I dont buy anything at WalMart as they are hostile towards unions.
My wife think's I'm just fine so I do not give
one hoot what you think. God put "all
the animals and all the plants on the Earth
for the benefit of Mankind."--Genesis

"Kill it and grill it!"--Ted Nugent

Now go back to your bowl of beansprouts and
take your meds. The Disney Channel awaits
you.

All the nasty comments aside, if I spot this animal anywhere near my home, I wouldnt hesitate to give it a high caliber greeting..I have a young child, and if this animal were to threaten my family in any way, its going down. You can scream all ya want, but 95% of the community is gonna line up behind a person protecting their home and family.

Are you losing sleep with paranoia over every little thing that can hurt your young child? Your child is going to get "threatened" by bullies, snakes, bees, wasps, child molesters, television, ecoli, bad drivers on cell phones, priests, you gonna shoot all them too? Dont forget to shoot the neighbors dog when it barks.
"unions", now I understand the mentality ...

Quoting God is a copout, God put all the animals here for YOUR benefit? I hardly think so. Dont believe everything you read; if you're talking to a burning bush you just might be committed .

Roy, Yeah its really greasy. Dog food only for me as
bears eat road kill and yuppies. Not fit for human
consumption. There are some good poodle recipes on the
internet. Just Google: Korean dog recipe. Bon Apetite!

Ha Haaa!!! That's hillarious,"nature boy"....You hope the bear bites my ass!!! That's funny...

But seriously, the bear may be all pretty and cute fun too watch and part of nature and stuff, but it can kill you... Im as much a part of nature as the bear is because Im in the woods all the time. Me and him share the same trail...

Coyotes are out of control. When youre hiking down the trail and come across a big ole coyote standing there! Then you realize without a weapon to protect you, you're vulnerable...
When you see them in the woods is one thing. But,when theyre coming into you're yard, where children play, it's not good...
Now, im not saying that the bear would stalk kids, but they could get spooked. Or, if it's a female with cubs, it would try to protect the cubs...
a coyote though will definatly take a small child, and you're family dog and cat arent safe either...Just sit outdoors at night and listen, and you will realize just how close they live to you.. "kill and grill" yippy-ki-a....

well, cowboy, this isn't the wild west, nor the Appalachian mountain range. Live and let live. and they call non human, animals. seems like they have that reversed.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
