To all the parents complaining and whining about Kight:
Why don't you all quit complaining about him?!? I love having him as a coach! He treats us like his own kids. So if your trying to ruin the lives of Western basketball players, keep all this up! But if you really care about the KIDS at Western High School, then you will rally behind Kight like a lot of us are doing. And if Kight does leave, don't expect to see a lot of the team back next year!

What district, parents, or players would not want an experienced hall of fame coach to come on board with our basketball program? Especially after a 0-21 season!

As parents we don't need our children to have him or any man at school to be a father figure. He was hired to be a teacher first and I believe that is where the majority of his paycheck comes from. Maybe some of the kids won't return if Kight isn't rehired but maybe other kids will come out if Kight isn't rehired.

This could be true . Then the team is in the same boat as last year no experience . If the kids truely love basketball they will play no matter who is coach. Whether it's here or some where else. They will play.

Im not saying all the kids need a father figure or good roll model, some of the kids already have that, because you see the parents there when thier not working, but face it some of these kids have none, these two coaches care about these boys, they are the only coaches ive known to call the parents and make sure the kids made it home safely, or even take these boys home after games and practices when they may have no other way, I know this for a fact, my grandchildren plays and thier parents work, sometimes not all the time, but sometimes if it werent for the coaches, then they may have missed practice or games. so give them a break, all coaches have to yell once in a while, just as us parents do, that dont make us bad parents or them bad coaches.
