Pike Double Murder Update Need Answers Please Help

On Saturday December 9th 2006,Jennifer Burgette and Curtis Francis were found shot in their home. Jennifer and Curtis shared a home at 124 hopper road and planned to marry.They were found dead at approx 2:00pm Saturday afternoon. Here's what we know: Friday Dec.8th Curtis left their home and probably spent most of the day at the home of Kevin and Robin Haus near Hopper Road. I would love to hear from Robin and or Kevin Haus, your support would be appreciated. I will be glad to correct any wrong statements. Curtis did return to their home (124 hopper rd)at approx. 10:30 pm, the time he left is unknown. we do know had been drinking and may have got into a fight or agrument with someone. According to witness Curtis left the Haus residence at approx.1:00 -1:30 am. early saturday morning.He may have got into a fight or agrument with someone. It is our understanding Jennifer spent all day (at their home) waiting for Curtis to return. However, if you seen or talked to her anytime friday Dec. 8th or early saturday Dec.9th please let us know. According to witness Curtis left the Haus residence early saturday morning at approx.1:00 -1:30 am. Eric Horn and others were probably at the Haus residence. If you know anyone that was at the Haus residence, please let me known. The events that occured between Friday and early saturday morning is what I belive lead to the murder of my sister and Curtis. Remember that what you hear- Mary- is also HEAR SAY! Hopefully, the Pike County Police Department will and is doing their jobs! She was also my sister! The things that some of our other sisters have been saying, and you know what I mean--has probably halted the police from catching the one or ones who did do it, instead of the one that some of you all have accussed!!

As for the county doing their job, I hold the 5th. To state your feelings about this one may be charged with "slander" if not very careful. You are right most if not all of what I hear is Hear Say. I hope the Pike County Police Dept. is doing their jobs and I know you do to. "She is also my sister!" I am sorry I never meant to say anything that would make you think I don't think that you are. In this forum when I say my sister it is because I don't want to speak for anyone else. Every one of Jenny's sisters may not agree with everything I say and I respect all of Jenny's sisters. I, myself, personally respect and love (with the exception of one (wont go there) you are one of them that I do love and respect and I hope always will be. We both know you were closer to Jenny than me but we all loved her. I only spent three or four years close to her, you spent a lot more. You know all three of us Me,You,Jenny have some good and bad memories. We loved each other, hated each other, had good and bad times,we were "sisters". "Remember the time you took us down the road (after you had removed the sign)I still don't know how I managed to drive away from their without us getting hurt. We are all dealing with this in different ways and one of my ways is to post these messages. As for the things other family members have been saying,none of them have accused anyone to me. I have never accused anyone because I don't know who done this. Many things we don't understand, a lot of questions and no answers. Their is a big difference in asking questions we don't understand and accusing someone of doing something wrong. Not one dam answer and it has been over nine months. This entire family is only trying to get Justice for Jenny. I honestly believe in my heart and mind that all of us should forgive each other for any and all statements that are said out of anger, pain and all hell we have all been living in since Jenny has been gone. Their is not one family member that does'nt want Justice. We need to keep strong for our parents that we all love every much. I love you and hope you will call me some time.

According to Kevin, Curt had been drinking but was not drunk. He drank alcohol over a period of five hours and was ok when he left his home. You had better make sure that what you writ are " Facts"--Otherwise, you could get into legal issues such a slander--or interfering with the police work--Just a sisterly reminder......

You had better make sure you dont try to create a diversion or you might get into sisterly issues. Just a sisterly remainder. I wont respond to any more of your comments unless you want to post information to help solve the case.

Your help is still needed. If you can't help, pray we get justice for this couple and the entire community.

Eric Horn was charged with the murder of Shope on Friday. His mother was charged with obstruction and tampering with evidence.

Thank you for posting and I thank our God in heaven shope family/friends and county will finally get some Justice served. Eric Horn was at the party friday night with Curtis. Please pray we get Justice for the murders of Jennifer Burgette and Curtis Francis who were murdered in Dec. 2006

Finally Justice. Ohio State Attorney's office perhaps along with Pike County Sheiff's office has done a great Job with this case.

I am glad Justice has been served for the Shope family/friends and my prayers are with you as you go through the process of trying to understand such a terrible crime. I know you will never have closure but Justice does help. Knowing Horn will pay and suffer for taking your loved one will comfort you to some degree. I understand some of what you are going and I will miss her everyday of my life. We all hear and read about murders but we don't expect them to happen in our family. Truth is it can happen io any one, I truly believe this is why God let us have such a wonderful Justice System. As you know, The State Attonery's General Office assists counties with their work. The state of OHIO has one of the best!!!

Maybe now that they made an arrest in one they can find this crazed heartless idiot did more.Don't sound good if Eric was around night huh? Your in our prayers!

Thank you very much for keeping our family in your prayers. Our family does not want the wrong person to pay for this crime. Please keep in mind,the court system has not found Mr. Horn guilty. He is innocent until he is proven guilty.Our family is hoping the Ohio State Attonery's office will work on our sister and boyfriend's case soon, perhaps with Pike County Sheriff's office they have done a great job. I pray Justice will be served for all three that lost their lives in Pike County. The Pike County "crazed heartless idots" you may hide from the county but you can't hide from the Ohio State Attorney's General. Your state has one of the best attorney's General office in the world. I pray some of the back crimes get solved to.

In reference to comment on forum Horn pleads not guilty to murder charges. You seem to know Eric Horn or think you know him. Were you at the party with Eric on December 8th and early morning of December 9th 2006? This party was at the home of Kevin and Robin Hous and was near Hopper road in Piketon.If not, have you heard anything concerning the death of Curtis Francis and my sister Jennifer Burgette?

First of all my heart goes out to the Shope family and those close to him. I know it has been a long time, and a painful time waiting for justice. This means that the police really are working on things. I just pray that they catch whoever cowardly murdered my sister Jennifer and Curt. They were loved by so many people. Secondly,
I want to thank you Mary Kay for posting this forum and publicly apologize for saying anything out of hurt and anger, that may have offended or hurt your feelings. Since this happened to Jeni, I have lost not only a sister, but a best friend.Sometimes I feel like I've lost my mind too! My heart had became bitter to mostly everyone and I'm so sorry. She was your sister too,and I know you love her too. Another thing, she loved you as well. So, I hope that the person who did this reads this--and you are right--they may run and hide, but they will eventually get caught. Also, hearing that the Shope family finally got justice for their loved son --gives me hope in the system, and once again in God!!!

My prayers go out to all your family. This is the time you need to be as a family can be! Im sure everyone is hurting with your loss,and doing it together is what needs to be done.
