Lenny, my son was murdered last year there in Vegas and we are hoping that his killer gets sent to Ely.....He is at High Desert right now being "evaluated". I agree with you, I hope that he and your son's murderer have as rough a time there as they can and for many, many years. Of course we didn't get the death penalty for the POS that murdered my son, but we will take what we can get and for the longest time possible. One of the things that sustains me is the thought that he will be at Ely, not only serving his time, but watching his back and scared to death to even function. I pray for that. The fact that the guards are there and making his life even more miserable is just a bonus. Bless you and your family Lenny, you are in my thoughts. May you all find peace.

sorry for the victims. inmates are not victims, and def. not innocent. their deaths are a blessing, so we don't have to support them on the state dime.
there are the lowest of the low and don't deserve a second thought. their families should be thankful that they don't have to be embarrassed by them anymore

I feel sorry for the girl that claims she is the long-term girlfriend of this low-life. really says alot about her. I would venture to say she was involved with his crimes and got away with it. I've seen this many times before, low-life , no self-esteem women who pick inmates to be there boyfriends, penpals, and even want to marry them. then they complain that they can't have conjugal visits, that their rights are being voliated by not letting them reproduce, so that we can support them too. GREAT GENE-POOL ( low-self esteem mother, criminal father ) what comes from that??

After reading alot of these post, its very clear who the inmate lovers are and who are actually the victims. some of you should see what the world is really like when you pull your head out of you a$$es. WAREHOUSE PEOPLE AS THE USA DOES. EVEN THE BIBLE SPECKS OF KEEPERS OF THE JAILS. 55 PERCENT OF THESES INMATES COULD BE DIRECTED WITH TRAINING AND HOUSING AND JOBS. YOU ARE AN IDIOT, YOU ARE PULLING PERCENTAGES AND FIGURES OUT OF YOUR A$$. THERE ARE RETRAINING PROGRAMS IN PRISONS,,I.E. DRUG REHAB,AA,NA, ETC. AND THESE IDIOTS STILL COME BACK, TIME AFTER TIME AGAIN. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS? BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY DO FOR A LIVING, AND THEY NEVER WANT TO CHANGE , EXCEPT FOR THAT SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THAT THEY WANT TO SHOW THE COURT THAT THEY "CAN" CHANGE ( JUST TO SHORTEN THEIR SENTENCE). ALTHOUGHT THE U.S DOES HOUSE A VAST AMOUNT OF PRISIONERS, AND IS MOST LIKELY IN THE TOP 3 TO 5. THERE ARE OTHER COUNTRIES LIKE CHINA , USSR THAT WON'T DISCLOSE FIGURES, I WOULD SAY BECAUSE THEY FAR EXCEED US.

My good friend in Canada writes alot of prisoners , she has prison ministry. Her friend, Danny Jones
was killed in Ely on the 10th of July,and another was killed too.
something is wrong in that prison.

The prison will always say they found him dead, was killed by another inmate, or other BS like that. Your boyfriend unfortunately is gone, he will never be back no matter what happened, Please move on with your life and think of the good times you two shared.
Once you recover from his loss find a man that is free and move on..Just close this chapter of your life..Again my deepest sympathies...

I have posted on this topic for a while, but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth. I'm sorry to all the people who have lost loved ones through violence, but remember that the families of the criminals are also victims. My son is in prison....it has ripped me apart emotionally. He's my son and I can't stop loving and caring about him. He'll be getting out soon, thankfully he didn't have to do much time. I can't imagine the pain for a mother who has to experience her son getting a life sentence. It's not anywhere near as tragic as the mother who loses her son to death, but it is still a huge loss.
