Scott Dozier is the son of a man I went to grade school and high school with. His parents and his grandparents are pillars of the community. The family is smart, kind, responsible, altogether nice people. I'd lay odds he really was a beaver cleaver choirboy type when he was growing up. It is inexplicable how he could have fallen so far. So sad....

So sad.... Thanks for the kind words (from a member of the family). There is not much else one can say in this situation when such a tragedy has befallen two other families. Scott always had his troubles, but then again, so does everyone.

I knew Scott when he was a kid, I have fond memories of him in elementy school. He always had a smile on his face, and was nice to everyone. The last time I saw him was out of highschool and he seemed well. I had heard through friends years later that he had turned to drugs and wasn't the same person. I felt sad then and even more sad now. I've only been able to read newspaper clippings, and I still don't believe what I'm reading. I feel for the murder victims and their families, but still can't believe that the kid I knew could do such a thing.

Drugs are rampid in the United States the Government needs to do more and people need to fight addiction. My brother died of a drug overdose,he was always looking for the next high, something I can't understand but he must have. Other than his addiction he was a talented person with a great personality. I really don't know what to say but try to fight addiction. The people you leave behind are stunned and sad. A piece of me was lost the day he died. Drugs suck!!

I doub you went to high school with Scott. He wasn't a known rapist or drug addict. He was a joc. He enjoyed working out at the gym and always liked to show off. He was a good man, anyone whoever knew him would tell you that.

In the last decade that drug has made Scotty really sick...but in his defense and in agreement with the entry above, he was not a "known rapist or drug addict" in highschool. Did he really murder these 2 people as he's been convicted? Knowing what Scotty was like in the midst of this addiction and sickness...yes I believe he did, unfortunately. And did he really lose touch with reality so far that he became ridden with "Anti-Social Personality Disorder"? Yes, I hole-heartedly believe that. But there were some moments in his life, even when he was caught up in all his messes, that the little boy people remember and the good person some people remember from high school would shine through, if only for a moment. He was pretty far gone when I knew him, but he wasn't born that way...and he wasn't always such a sociopath. Crystal meth is the devil and it does not discriminate.

Scotty was not a known drug addict or rapist in highschool. That's a ridiculous and ignorant comment. In the last decade he has become very sick with addiction and yes, he probably really did commit these murders as he's been convicted. But he was not born bad or born a psychopath. Crystal meth is the devil and it does not discriminate. He came from a respectable family...arrogant but respectable...this sick, twisted form of Scotty was a product of that drug.

Bottom line is we need to put all drug dealers to death as well as the weak minded users. Stop making excuses for these pukes and let' start punishing them with more than rehab. Meth can not harm you unless you make that weak minded choice to use it, period.

Scott Dozier was sober and in prison when he threatened to have me killed because my presence discouraged an ex of his from talking to him. They used the sick letter he wrote in his sentencing. He also threatened to kill a female witness -- also while he was sober. The defence therapist diagnosed him as ant-social personality. That's synonomous with psychopath. Drugs didn't make him that way. It's part genetic; part from the way he was raised.

I didn't go to high school with skoti but I did know him, even during his "drug days". The skoti I know and love is still a good person who made some bad choices. Regardless of his punishment, forgiveness is Godly, and only God can truely be his judge!!! I will always have you in my heart! As for his genetic and the way he was raised???(ignorance on subject comment) you obviously do not know his family and therefor YOU are ignorant on the subject!

I was just wondering if anyone knew if Scott had his official sentencing, yet? I believe it was scheduled for Dec. 9th. Anyhow, I heard all the testimony and saw the gruesome photos pertaining to this crime. It's something I wouldn't wish on anyone. My heart goes out to both the Dozier family and the Miller family.

I have to laugh at this situation...because people are so quick to judge. Put yourself in this family's situation - would you want someone to judge you so quickly? I think not. People make mistakes. You are supposed to learn from them. Some people are a bit more hard-headed than others when it comes to learning. But at least Scott HAS had a positive impact on the lives of those close to him...and not so close as well. He has inspired me to get through college and to get my degree, and to help those people who are hard-headed... So... "ye without sin cast the first stone" ...please.

The knew Scott very well in Junior High school and sometimes I am not sure if this is the same person I knew. He grew up in a small town in Nevada and he was using drugs in 7th grade and was in and out of trouble back then. If he had continued on the same path it very well could be him. But he was a very sweet person and I find it hard to believe that he could do something like this. I also know that drugs can change a person and if he was still using and had been using since junior high it is possible he was not at all the kind of person he was back then. I feel for the family of his victims and for his own family. Yet I am still confused about this being the same Scott Dozier that grew up in Boulder City NV.

Jeremiah was my good friend. He was also a good person. I am sure Scott grew up a great kid. Unfortunatly drugs and greed can corrupt the best of people (including Jeremiah). Due to the extreme nature of these crimes. I think the death penalty was proper sentence.

You know the truth? Then come forward. Oh wait, you did it? Scott had a history of drug use, he needs to fry for what he did. It is apparent by your blue's clue's name you are diluted and were in business with him. So where did you put this guys head? You might think you know someone, but give me a break. Drug users as well as the dealers all deserve to die!!!!!

I knew scott since I was a very young kid, i'm friends with his younger brother and his whole family. I looked up to him, it's a shame what drugs do to a person, I wish he would have gotten some help, he was a good person who got caught up in a bad situation.

I only wish the death penalty didn't take 20+ years to invoke. They should put him in the firing squad immediately. Screw giving him lethal injection.

I knew Scott very well. We dated for awhile (in the early 90's) and worked together as well. He is a smart funny man and I'm glad he entered my life. He was always kind and considerate of others. I am proud to call him a friend.
