STAY AWAY from OASIS MOVING & STORAGE. They lie, they underquote and overcharge, they mislead you and once they get your money, they don't care about taking care of you. 1) They neglected to tell me many things up front 2) Used a box of tape on very few items and charged me $250 for it! 3) Readjusted their estimate 3 times after they had picked up my belongings. 4) Wanted $500 more or they wouldn't unload my stuff - claimed they had to carry my stuff almost 500 feet. When I measured it, I got a little over 150 feet. Plus, they charged me $75 more for an additional flight of stairs because my staircase that leads to my door has a mid-landing. C'mon its only 15 steps total! 5) Forced me to sign their documents so I can't dispute their unlawful charges. 6) Asked me if I can fit a 52 foot truck at my delivery address, in which I said no. They decided to bring one anyway and charged me for the inconvenience. 7) Took almost a month to get from California to Colorado. It's hard to live a month without even a light fixture or a chair. But maybe I was expecting too much. 8) Disassembled my furniture which was nice but never reassembled like they said they would. 9) Didn't place things where we wanted. The delivery guys were "tired" and they just dumped everything in my living room. 10) Broke my desk, cd shelf and a few other items. I could go on and on... My sales rep mysterious disappeared after I booked them. Later I spoke with a supervisor, Andrea Orellana who was nice when she was collecting my money and making me sign and fax document after document. But when I tried to talk to her about this last $500 they decided to come up with at the end, it was basically, if you don't sign then we're keeping your stuff. Total blackmail. So I had to sign what they wanted which sucks because now I have no leg to stand on as its a legal binding document. If you want a nightmare and enjoy being conned, lied to or taken advantage of, call Oasis. But don't be suprised when they quote you less than half of what they end up charging you. My advice, Stay Away!

I am the Mother of a daughter who just used Oasis. She still hasn't received her stuff yet. I've read all the complaints; it's as though my daughter wrote them since she has had the very same experience. I was there when the movers came. It was a nightmare. The guy (Sean)if that is even his real name, kept repeating how important it was to wrap and re-wrap everything. "I don't want to be liable for any damaged items". The last thing he did was to"throw" my daughters expensive bike into the back of the truck where it toppled over. So much for wanting to be "careful" of her belongings. He didn't know we were looking out the window when he did this. Then Sean added another $3000 to the bill!($800) for extra tape and bubble wrap! He would not leave without my daughter signing the contract. In addition,Sean made inappropriate comments to both of us. No one could be found at the so called "Storage facility", which we have found out, they don't even have. Rip offs is too gentle a term for these ballsy bastards. We will see how this turns out. We are not going to go down without complaint.

After moving five previous times before and never having a problem, I didn't expect Oasis to be the nightmare is has turned out to be. They will low-ball your estimate, and then coerce you to sign their "revised estimate" which is double the quote. Then they say you need more wrapping, charging you labor & materials. Then, there's the fuel surcharge they neglect to tell you about. The "foreman" got belligerent and abusive and started throwing my stuff in the truck. He then made sexually harassing comments to me and asked me if I was sleeping alone at my apartment that night. Then he called me four times that evening, well past 9-10pm. CREEPY. After they take your belongings, they will not deliver as promised, nor will they answer your phone calls. After three weeks (moving from Oregon to Arizona) they finally deliver your stuff, only to have every single piece of furniture damaged, many, many items broken, and guess what? Valuable items stolen. What a surprise! I am going to do my best to get this company shut down. They absolutely should not be in business.

My advice, Stay Away! though my feelings do go out to this customer, i disagree. Under quoting... yea right. its the responsibility of the customer to fully disclose all their belongings on the phone estimate prior to the move. based on this information both the customer and the rep. agree on a est. weight.Duhhhhhh!!! We don't est. a weight you don't agree to. thank you... this upsets me. Being a foreman at Oasis my #1 goal is great customer service

I'm sorry, but as a foreman you should be more upset by the poor customer service. I am experiencing this right now. The underquote comment, I agree, is rediculous. However I have been misled, and incurred additional costs because of poor service. 1. Packers showed up a day late, leaving me no time clean before I had to leave. This cost me over 500 dollars in cleaning costs. 2. 9 boxes that I purchased and packed are listed on the inventory as carrier packed, and charged for the boxes. 3. I was misled about the delivery times, and was not advised that if I needed a specific date that I needed to request a guaranteed delivery date. I am out a total of over 1000 dollars because of delays in packing and delivering. Furthermore, I am continually blown off by customer service, including being told that their manager would contact me as soon as they got off the phone. That was yesterday and still no word. oasis employee wrote: <quoted text>though my feelings do go out to this customer, i disagree. Low balling an estimate is what you do just so you can grab a client and get them locked into a contract. When your pick up crew arrived, looked at my belongings and gave me a new estimate based on that, that's fine. But how does that estimate go up again, and then again to the point where the full cost is more than double my original estimate? What the hell is the estimate good for if it's not even close to what I'll be paying?? You know what your responsibility as an interstate mover is? to provide a copy of the weights to your customer. I recently found out that is law. You know what else I found out? Legally, in a non-binding estimate, you are only allowed to charge 110% of the original estimate. You can't double or triple the cost in some peoples cases. And just a quick response to agreeing to your estimated weights... How can we not agree to them when you have our property!!! If we say no, then you hold our property hostage!(which is also illegal). It's just a matter of time before your company goes down. There is a class action lawsuit forming ( http://local.yahoo.com/info-31801600-oasis-mo... ). Soon, your interstate license will be revoked, making this the 4th time. If you are in fact a foreman for the company, I suggest you start looking for another job. #1 goal is customer service?? Bull Shit.

Etrich wrote: Oasis rocks. Unfortunately the unhappy customers speak way louder then the happy ones. We move do over 2200 interstate moves alone each year with many happy customers At best we get a thank you email from them I wish they would all post some of their great feed backs on here. But some people have better things to do in life. Sometimes companies should be protected from some customers too. Being so abusive to the guys or just asking for half of their move off cause we were late to arrive in half hour. Some of us worked for other companies, I have been working for Oasis for few years now and they were nothing but good for me and the customers. I do not say that 100% of all moves go smooth but hey have you try and look up other moving companies? Oasis have a full time customer service representative and a claim department. We at least take responsibility if anything goes wrong. You guys should be doing something else with your time.
