STAY AWAY from OASIS MOVING & STORAGE. They lie, they underquote and overcharge, they mislead you and once they get your money, they don't care about taking care of you.

1) They neglected to tell me many things up front
2) Used a box of tape on very few items and charged me $250 for it!
3) Readjusted their estimate 3 times after they had picked up my belongings.
4) Wanted $500 more or they wouldn't unload my stuff - claimed they had to carry my stuff almost 500 feet. When I measured it, I got a little over 150 feet. Plus, they charged me $75 more for an additional flight of stairs because my staircase that leads to my door has a mid-landing. C'mon its only 15 steps total!
5) Forced me to sign their documents so I can't dispute their unlawful charges.
6) Asked me if I can fit a 52 foot truck at my delivery address, in which I said no. They decided to bring one anyway and charged me for the inconvenience.
7) Took almost a month to get from California to Colorado. It's hard to live a month without even a light fixture or a chair. But maybe I was expecting too much.
8) Disassembled my furniture which was nice but never reassembled like they said they would.
9) Didn't place things where we wanted. The delivery guys were "tired" and they just dumped everything in my living room.
10) Broke my desk, cd shelf and a few other items.

I could go on and on... My sales rep mysterious disappeared after I booked them. Later I spoke with a supervisor, Andrea Orellana who was nice when she was collecting my money and making me sign and fax document after document. But when I tried to talk to her about this last $500 they decided to come up with at the end, it was basically, if you don't sign then we're keeping your stuff. Total blackmail. So I had to sign what they wanted which sucks because now I have no leg to stand on as its a legal binding document.

If you want a nightmare and enjoy being conned, lied to or taken advantage of, call Oasis. But don't be suprised when they quote you less than half of what they end up charging you. My advice, Stay Away!

!!!OASIS MOVING & STORAGE IS A SCAM OPERATION!!!
They are notorious for Hostage Loads, a form of blackmail and extortion. Unfortunately, justice has not yet caught up to them. But you can be smart and avoid them on your move!
Just to give you some information on Oasis Moving & Storage:
Oasis Moving & Storage has had three license revocations since Jan 2004 when they were first granted authority, totalling 3 1/2 months of no operating authority. They got a whopping 45% Driver Inspection Failure rate, including several instances of not being licensed to drive the truck and falsifying records (which you don't do for the heck of it, you do it to hide the unsafe hours you're actually driving), and their 8 drivers have 9 moving violations, including one for use/possession of alcohol.
If this isn't enough reason to stay away from this company, run a google search on their name and see the MANY complaints against them.

Unfortunately we used Oasis for our move from Arizona to Minnesota. It was an absolute nightmare. Do NOT use these bastards.
They showed up in one of those Budget rental trucks with 1 Oasis worker and 2 temps they picked up in Phoenix. The Oasis worker and 1 of the temps began fighting in our front yard. One had his shirt off and was about to come to blows with the other. My wife kicked the temps out. That's when all of the racial slurs began yelling up and down the street between the Oasis worker and one of the temps.
We had actually gotten a do-not-exceed quote from United Van Lines. Oasis gave us a quote that was $1500 less than that. We had never moved before, so we didn't know any better. It ended up costing us $1000 over the United quote and $2500 over the Oasis original quote. We weren't shown the new quote until the truck was packed (thanks to my back breaking help since the temps were now gone) and it was locked up.
Once in Minnesota, a semi showed up (within the 2 weeks, so I'll give them that), with two guys who just contracted with Oasis to haul the items. They did move them into our garage and house, but there was no reassembly as Oasis claims they provide in their "full service" move. These guys probably had no idea we expected them to put some stuff together.
That's the breif explanation. We submitted a full explanation to the BBB. Oasis responded, pretty much calling us a bunch of complainers. They did give us $400 off, but $400 off of $4500 is crap with all of the stuff we went through.

I had moved 5 times before and everytime it was excellent. Had I known even just one of the items in the forum I would have never used them.
Let me start by saying that I moved from Irvine to Phoenix AZ in October 2002, which was a direct, full-service move for $3000. I cannot remember that company but all went well.
In March, 2005 I moved from Phoenix, to Dublin/Pleasanton, CA. I stumbled upon www.123movers.com after which I was contacted by Oasis Moving & Storage (the folks from Vegas). They did a phone estimate for 597 cft at $1654. Knowing I had paid for the previous move $3000 I was prepared to double the cost and call it 'ok'.
The Oasis move however would not be a direct move but go to storage some time during the move. Further I had many boxes (60) myself already from the previous move and had them use them. Some friends packed 90% of the items before the company even showed up.
So here is the story:
Oasis (the rep's name is Scott S.) scheduled a pick-up time of 9:00 am.
However they didn't show up until 3:30pm!!! There is no one at their office on Saturday, so I couldn't reach anyone. Scott had told me that a crew of 3 men would do the loading, instead 2 show up. Basically it really went downhill from then onward. They took frequent smoking breaks and took forver to get the large items wrapped (we had done all small boxes ourselves already). Since I had moved so much before I knew something was bad.
Basically their truck was full before they had loaded all my stuff because of previous items they had in there. They left my place at 12 midnight to come back the next morning after they had put some items in storage.
The next day they show up around 10:30am and load until 1pm (I have a flight at 2:30pm I barely made).
After they were done loading here comes the bill....remember their estimate was $1654 and I was prepared for about $3000 at most. Well, it came in at $5400!!!! Further they only accepted half in credit card with the rest due in cash or money in full at the day of delivery! They wouldn't even unload until I gave them the cash. The bill stated that they now suddenly had 1200 cft in items. However one if the people doing the unloading even admitted that my stuff wasn't all that much and at most about 750 cft!!!!
Then - some of my items were missing, others were destroyed because they were clearly improperly wrapped. I had a delicate piece of high-gloss furniture and it wasn't padded at all - just thin plastic wrap.
I am still considering how I can recoup some of the cost - maybe with the valuable help from this site. I might add that I paid for this move 'out of pocket' since there was no relocation assistance from my company. One of the managers there is Moshe - and of course they are denying any claim that they overcharged.
This is the worst moving company EVER! Stay away from them. They'll destroy your stuff and overcharge you.

I am the Mother of a daughter who just used Oasis. She still hasn't received her stuff yet. I've read all the complaints; it's as though my daughter wrote them since she has had the very same experience. I was there when the movers came. It was a nightmare. The guy (Sean)if that is even his real name, kept repeating how important it was to wrap and re-wrap everything. "I don't want to be liable for any damaged items". The last thing he did was to"throw" my daughters expensive bike into the back of the truck where it toppled over. So much for wanting to be "careful" of her belongings. He didn't know we were looking out the window when he did this. Then Sean added another $3000 to the bill!($800) for extra tape and bubble wrap! He would not leave without my daughter signing the contract.
In addition,Sean made inappropriate comments to both of us. No one could be found at the so called "Storage facility", which we have found out, they don't even have. Rip offs is too gentle a term for these ballsy bastards. We will see how this turns out. We are not going to go down without complaint.

After moving five previous times before and never having a problem, I didn't expect Oasis to be the nightmare is has turned out to be. They will low-ball your estimate, and then coerce you to sign their "revised estimate" which is double the quote. Then they say you need more wrapping, charging you labor & materials. Then, there's the fuel surcharge they neglect to tell you about.
The "foreman" got belligerent and abusive and started throwing my stuff in the truck. He then made sexually harassing comments to me and asked me if I was sleeping alone at my apartment that night. Then he called me four times that evening, well past 9-10pm. CREEPY.
After they take your belongings, they will not deliver as promised, nor will they answer your phone calls. After three weeks (moving from Oregon to Arizona) they finally deliver your stuff, only to have every single piece of furniture damaged, many, many items broken, and guess what? Valuable items stolen. What a surprise!
I am going to do my best to get this company shut down. They absolutely should not be in business.

though my feelings do go out to this customer, i disagree. Under quoting... yea right. its the responsibility of the customer to fully disclose all their belongings on the phone estimate prior to the move. based on this information both the customer and the rep. agree on a est. weight.Duhhhhhh!!! We don't est. a weight you don't agree to. thank you... this upsets me. Being a foreman at Oasis my #1 goal is great customer service
