Robertson football players appeal suspension

I am sympathetic to the victims, but to those offenders, you are only getting what you deserve.

I just finished watching the news and was happy to hear that the Santa Fe district will be pressing charges. I am happy for the families of the victims as well as the victims that it seems justice will come to pass. I hope that the criminals will get everything and more of what they deserve. I thank my lucky stars every night that you victims can start the healing process and I hope that each and every perpetrator doesn't sleep thinking about the harm they caused and thinking about what is in store for them. The two that are going to appeal your suspension have nerve. When you violated these boys rights by doing what you did, you lost your right to a public education. Appeal? You're funny. I'd hide in shame for my behavior if I were you two.

The prosecution of these punks going forward is great news. Can you believe they are appealing their suspension? You now what the victims are appealing their assault.

I spoke with a parent of one of the victims and it is sad how much their lives have changed because of this. All because the school district has allowed these individuals to do and get away with this for years. I hope the victim families sue all involved. The offenders and their families, the coaches that were aware and allowed this to happen over 2 days, the athletic director for trying to cover up in the beginning in violation of the law, and the superintendent he is ultimately responsible for the district and he too tried to cover this up. Remember the Las Vegas Optic article he tried to prevent the State Police involvement and he was upset at their involvement.

These punks are dangerous sex offenders who have no business being allowed to roam the halls of any school. Their request to transfer to another high school was turned down by the principal of that school based on these loser's unacceptable scholastic & conduct records. Best the parent's of these kids spend their money on getting psychiatric care for their mentally ill offspring rather than suing. My sympathy is with the victims & their families.

How could the armijo family think that their son is inocent of everything? He was an active participant and he held down and was a look out. Is he really as innocent as his mom thinks? Shame on you Ella, you work in the schools too!

Hey guys, I think you'd have about a snowballs chance in hell of getting back in our school. It's over, you all thinking you can run our school, not happening. You physically hurt those six boys and in doing so you hurt the school and the rest of us in it. You also hurt the community as a whole. You didn't once stop to think what your actions would cause, you just thought of your actions at hand. The rest of the student body will protest your return. Who do you think that the administration will listen to, sodomizers or decent kids? Why do you want to appeal and waste everyone's time anyway? You don't need to appeal because you all are going to prison any way. That's where you belong, locked up in prison not school. You gave up your right to a public education when you chose to participate in this crime. Have your wonderful parents home school you. If they think that you guys are innocent then let them teach their precious boys. They should've spent more time with you to teach you right from wrong. Had they done that maybe you wouldn't be in the fix you're in now. YOU'RE NOT COMING BACK TO OUR SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!

I think fighting the school suspension should be the least of their worries, they've got bigger things to be worried about. I hope they dwell on that!!

To the sex offenders and their accomplices. The only school you have a chance to go to is called the PINTA.

Good for you and your fellow students!!! Stand up for those amongst you who can't/won't. That is YOUR school and I agree with you 100 percent!!! You deserve an education, not more B.S. from children that have NO BUSINESS being in a public anything!!!

Why they would want to go back to that scum school is beyond me. Just like you don't want them there, I'm sure they would like to go elsewhere. Some already have. So as for you defending your ghetto school, Whoopie!

Yeah, defend you're ghetto school. Heck if I were a kid at that school and I had a chance to go somewhere else, I would jump on it. Robertson High School has always SUCKED!

I'm guessing you lived in LV for quite a while. And you knew about how sucky this school is. What have you done to make it a school you can be proud of?

I'm sure there are several other students that feel as strongly about this as you do. Keep fighting for the good of YOUR school and to keep the likes of "MY Oh My" and friends out!!! I think you guys are going to make a BIG difference in your school. The students at Robertson High deserve better and you are the ones that can do it!!!!

LilStinka: Thank you for the positive note. I know there are some people who think our school "sucks" and that the students their suck. Not now that the riff raff is gone. This is MY school and about 600 other good kids and I will not stand by and let it be shot down the way it has. The majority of the kids are great, it was just a few that made our school bad. But the few are gone and we try daily to get it back on track. Thank you for your sentiments about the good kids, it is appreciated.

When parents are not honest about themselves they possibly can't be honest about their children. That's too bad, it only hurts the child in the future. Mommy and Daddy can't be with you in your adult life. The Armijo's know what their son Santi did, just as the Gallegos' know what their "little creep" did. Unfortunately they don't want to face the truth, that their kids are/were capable of these crimes. As soon as they face fact and are real with themselves it will be easier to face the punishment that these boys will eventually face. Being honest about yourself and your kids behavior is the best thing all around. Appealing the suspension from school is going to be the least of their problems, problems that they brought on themselves. It is too bad that the rest of the pack listened to Michael and did what they did. Too bad Michael can't take all the punishment for all the boy's participation. They made a choice to follow his lead and sadly they will have to follow him to prison too.

Now that more and more information is coming out everyday, it seems the school is in the news daily. That's all fine and well, the kids are getting sick of it and I tell them the more in the media people won't let this situation be pushed under the rug. Now KOB obtained the districts report and it was very unflatering. It's no wonder the coaches resigned with an inch of their lives. They knew all along what was going on and did nothing to stop it. Oh yes, an assistant coach telling them to "cut it out." Like that was going to deter the behavior. As parents we expect our children's safety to be the number one priority of the adult(s) in charge. These coaches are no better than the perpetrators of the crimes. In fact they're right up there as though they did the sodomizing themselves. I think that their resignations is not enough, those coaches, each and everyone need to be charged as accomplices to the crime and if there is more than they can be charged with then so be it. Child abuse - for not properly supervising.
Child endangerment- for leaving them to the perps.
Oof, the list could go on and on. To Mr. District Attorney of Santa Fe don't let these adults go scott free. They need to be held accountable for their participation or lack of inadequate supervision.

I am proud to say I NEVER attended that school, and yes, I am very familiar with Las Vegas. I would not waste a dime on that school nor would I even spare a breath of my effort to try to make it better. Both schools in that town have major issues, but if I could choose one school in that town to attended it sure as hell wouldn't be East Las Vegas. GO DONS!
