This article is much more informative than the initial release, which is to be expected, though I wonder whether or not the baby brianna information was relevant or not.

Even in death no one will forget what Robert did, give the guy a break. Did the sun-news really have to mention his past? My prayers go out to the all the families who lost a loved one in this tragic accident. May Robert rest in peace.

I agree, karma is alive and well in Las Cruces. My sympathies for Manuel Campos and his family. Wishing his grandson a speedy recovery. They and the truck driver appear to be the only innocent victims.

The whole city was heartbroken over Briana's death. Why can't people understand that their past actions are remembered? He did not report this horrific abuse and it was wrong. Recently, there was a high school teacher who committed murder when he was 17 years old. People were saying that he was such a nice guy and that shouldn't have been a factor. HELLO? YES!!! It should be. When you do commit horrible crimes we will remember. It's NOT ok to stand by and watch a baby be abused.

I'm shocked! LAS CRUCES - Alcohol...contributed to a four-vehicle crash Friday night that killed two Las Cruces men...

If I were Manny Campos' family, I would be outraged that this drunken multiple-offender was on the road.

Robert Walter's was a really good friend of my brother and I it's just a damn shame that people don't know about someone that well and talk a bunch of "BS" so keep your opinions to yourselves if you don't have anything nice to say! R.I.P Robert well miss you Homie!

Even if the Sun News had not reported on his past most of us would have realized who he was after the tragic death of Brianna. Why should he be given a break when he failed to give a 5 month baby a break from the abuse she suffered her whole life??? I agree that karma is alive in Las Cruces. My thoughts and prayers are with the other family and the truck driver who were innocent victims.

Not very respectful on the part of the Sun news to include the baby brianna case. I knew Robert from a previous job and can say that he was not a bad person. My condolences to his family.

You people are evil, death shouldn't be wished upon anyone no matter what the circumstance. Robert was not the one who abused Brianna, it was his brother and yes he should have reported it but God only knows his reasons why he didn't. Don't judge the guy hell he left a family behind including a wife and child. R.I.P my friend you will be missed.

The past IS relevant. Why was the guy not in prison? From the "youtube" film he was to get 18yrs- what am I missing here? "not a bad person" h-e-l-l-o Damn, from the film looked bad to me. Everything in the story was relevant- the story should even have added why Robert was not in prison.

Wasn't gonna comment because of the negativity of the whole way this article was put however I was outraged when the Baby Brianna case came out. I'm an uncle and let me tell you Karma and divine intervention has been done, there is no reason justify shutting about abuse to a child or anyone for that fact. I feel for the family and although we all make mistakes this baby suffered a terrible fate. As for Robert suffering, well it the hereafter I would be worried about..........thats eternity.
