I also agree it was foolish not to take your daughter to the hospital when Vincent picked the girls up and he found out what had happened. BUT, I do understand that you trusted in Rose, and felt she would do what was best for your girls, and you, her daughter.
In saying that, I know the guilt that you must feel regarding some of the foolish mistakes you made. And you're right, God has forgiven you for them. God knows the truth, and I truly believe that he will make sure the truth comes out at trial.
And the fact is, you have done everything possible to make the right choices for your daughters since you reported the crimes and have made sure they have had the proper medical attention. Mental, physical, and spiritual. You and Vincent have also received counseling, he stopped drinking, and stood your ground and fought for justice for your girls.
So let these blind, ignorant people say what they will. At least you and Vincent have the guts to admit your wrongs, have done everything you can to make changes in your home, and loved and supported your girls come what may.
It's a hell of a lot more than Danny and Rose have done. They're scared to death right now. Don't let anyone tell you different. And they should be afraid, because the walls of their lies and deceit are about to come crumbling down all around them.
Then there will no longer be anywhere to hide.

Don't know they guy or the details but normally when something like this happens to someone who is innocent..... It means there is a larger coverup going on. Not defending anyone or offering my opinion on the case, just saying in general.... May he have been on the verge of exposing something controversial? Or maybe something similar? Might be worth looking into, since most seem to think he was a good guy.
