Gee, guess the War Industry is grabbing too much of our tax money to allow for providing our boys what they need.

Here's the chart. 56% of federal dollars going to "defense", plus another 4% to veterans of previous wars....

Almost 2/3 of our tax dollars being spent on the military and we have to hold bake sales to give our boys what they need over there? Total BS.

Bring them home now.

When I was in Iraq...we really did like the care packages folks sent. At some of the really remote camps, there was no place to purchase anything.....so we really needed some of the things that were sent.
Thank you.

heydipshiz, this was a nice thing for these kids to do, and you have to turn it into a political thing...(although I agree that we should have never gone to Iraq), try to think about nice things sometimes and pull your head outofyourass

Way to go. It's always nice to hear that these care packages actually get there and are appreciated. The best gift we could provide our troops, however, is a one-way trip back home.

Thank you: to the kids at Hall Middle School, Bacich, Elementary School and the ladies at the American Legion Auxiliary. We especially love the letters written by the children (many of the letters are pinned to our walls or tapped to refrigerators). In my unit some of the candy is eaten and most of it is put into little bags w/ stuffed animals & toys. We drop the bags from our rescue helicopter to the kids who waive at us and don't for the ones who throw rocks. What we don't drop is given to the troops in the field who also eat some and give away the rest. What you do is appreciated by us and the Afghani kids. Thanks again-Brian, Kandahar Airfield. These things we do that others may live.
