They would have been pretty good friends? Is that Judge high?

One man is in the country illegally, left his family in Mexico, and is obviously sending much of his earnings to Mexico (certainly doing nothing to help the U.S. economy), while the other man was a citizen who belonged here and was not sending his earnings to a foreign country.

The one is a criminal. The other a victim. They have nothing in common.

That illegal alien deserves no forgiveness. He can't even speak English and he's driving without lights the wrong way???

I hope that company gets what they deserve for hiring an illegal. I hope Verizon starts checking its subcontractors out better.

Covert noted that both the defendant and the victim had similar characters, with both working to support their respective families. "They probably would have been pretty good friends," the judge said.

This judge is a prime example of the elitist attitude among the politicians in this country. I seriously doubt that the victim would have been friends with a criminal that was illegally working a job that he was not qualified for when I am sure that victim had more than a few friends and family out of work that could have performed the job legally. The illegal alien committed vehicular manslaughter with aggravating circumstances. He was committing multiple crimes at the time of the accident.

Seems to me the Judge per his unbelievable statements should have taken a 'drug test' before getting on the bench. Who in their right mind would make such a statement?
