If we are social creatures by nature, what do you think wars
and competition do to our natural need to be social? Said another way, what happens to the mind when the heart says it needs one thing (community; brotherhood; peace) but the mind is conditioned to do the opposite (war; compete; hate)? Kolt4JC |

First, I would like to say, that I honor men and women, who have
dedicated their lives for us, but this is a time of military history, where there is no draft, and anyone, who joins the military is all volunteer. I dont think sometimes, people realize, that at anytime, we can have a war and it can be very devestating. You really have to make a serious decision, when you enter into the military. I pray for our young men and women, that God keep your mind, spirit and emotions, because war is real. Thank God for You |

This has nothing to do with being a democrat or a republican. This has to do with our soldiers. Is is our soldiers that have given everyone the right to say what they feel in the first place, so to put down these people at all is just disgusting. Be proud of our soldiers or leave this country and don't benefit from what they are doing for us. Do you really think they enjoy doing what they do? What have some of you done for the country as a whole?

I have and do now know several men that have retired from the Army and they have been to war. Now they have perfectly normal lives and are decent honorable men. That is what you learn in the military, to have honor and be dependable. Sometimes some people cannot handle the stress, just as in everyday life, you hear of people committing suicide quite often. My point being, don't say that when these men come back from war that they cannot adjust to normal life again because I know for a fact that they can. |

Like it or not, the only thing you (or anyone for that matter) know for a fact is that they will always wrestle with memories of having been through the hell of life and death combat with other human being. There's nothing "normal" about that kind of life and for that alone, veterans deserve better things. Like a real peace plan, lest they faught and fight in vain. |
