When did we decide to look the other way while our children bully other children? Should it be left up to the parents of the bullied child to make this caveman behavior STOP? I am appalled that the school has been letting this continue, even after they have been notified. Would you know if your child was bullying another child?

I think many parents don't care if their children are bullying another just as long as their kids are not the ones bein bullied. My child has gone through this all year long and is too afraid to say anything out of vengence that may be recieved. In a small town the only thing that matters is your last name and coincidently the last name of my kid's bullies is the last name of prominent city officials (County and City Sheriffs), school teachers, and the like.

Bullying (or harassment or mobbing) among children is not a new phenomenon, having featured frequently in fictional stories for centuries. Most adults can recall incidents of bullying in their schooldays. Indeed, it is not uncommon for people to regard bullying as a natural process, part of the inevitable and turbulent process of growing up. The common perception is that by enduring it and perhaps fighting back, boys and girls are toughened up, and then better prepared for life.
