I support the no votes. I never liked the idea of governments borrowing. Living within your means is basic common sense. But it seems to be a standard for Fast Eddie, the typical tax and spend what we don't have Democrat. I did notice Payraise Punt and
Keller, who supported Payraise Fleagle, both support the spending frenzy.

ROCK & KAUFFMAN both said they oppose this budget because it could mean higher taxes next year. However, they both, in the same article B*T*H and moan about spending programs that are being cut that they think are important. I am a republican but I can't stand people like Rock & Kauffman who claim to be something but only will go so far to be that person. Boys, and I do mean Boys, if the two of you are going to be talking the tough talk, that you both do, then have the GUTS to say you will support cutting government spending and other BULL#### programs that may even affect your district or area. Wouldn't be great to have an elected State Rep. with the real courage?

Totally predictable that Payraise Punt would suck up to Rendell. Payraise is a closet Democrat. It is a shame his term of office has not already ended and he can begin his march into obscurity as just another self-serving, money grubbing politician.

Good point, but Alloway will be just as bad. Speaking of bad, Fumo will finally get his. This whole system is a waste of taxpayers money. If they cut the General Assembly in half that would still be too many. It's time for a Constitutional Convention and clean house.

I usually just lurk-but Nobodys Fool IS a fool. what more could be asked than our reps vote no for this spend/borrow/tax later budget.

Of course they will support some programs/spending. All our tax money goes for SOMETHING doesn't it? I suspect Nobodys Fool is from my own party - not the seated representatives- and I am ashamed.

Ahhhhh, yes, you mention a gen-u-ine crook, the grody Vincent Fumo indicted for these violations:

18 U.S.C.§ 371 (conspiracy to commit mail and
wire fraud - 2 counts)
18 U.S.C.§ 371 (conspiracy to defraud the United
States - 1 count)
18 U.S.C.§ 371 (conspiracy to obstruct justice - 1 count)
18 U.S.C.§ 1341 (mail fraud - 60 counts)
18 U.S.C.§ 1343 (wire fraud - 41 counts)
18 U.S.C.§ 1512(b)(2)(B)(obstruction of justice - 9 counts)
18 U.S.C.§ 1512(c)(1)(obstruction of justice - 2
counts)
18 U.S.C.§ 1519 (obstruction of justice - 21
counts)
26 U.S.C.§ 7206(1)(false tax return - 2 counts)
26 U.S.C.§ 7206(2)(aiding and assisting the filing of a false tax return - 2 counts)
18 U.S.C.§ 2 (aiding and abetting)
18 U.S.C.§ 981 (criminal forfeiture)
What do Fumo and Payraise Punt have in common? Immense gall.

Oui Jock, the crook Fumo is finally geting nailed....long overdue.

And your comment about his gall similarity to Payraise Punt is right on also. It took gall plus a lack of character for Payraise Punt to solidify his replacement into the same cabal of self-enriching crooks we were trying to oust. That along with his inital refusal to cough up the illegal payraise will forever make me remember him as a tarnished disgraced legislator.

How about a statue to Payraise, Hondo? Not a tall one. Dwarf size like Payraise's integrity and character. Plaster of Paris. Arms outstretched signifying "I want more!" and a place for birds to sit while they decorate the statue. Payraise is a deserving man.

You gotta admit that Philadelphia provides some top-drawer sleazebags as politicians. Fumo, Rendell, Wilson Goode, John Street, are a few.

LOL Marcel, a befitting monument indeed. Don't forget the bulging pockets full of taxpayer money.

Wow, Mabel can name the rogue's gallery. I'm sure she can add plenty more. Anyone ever poll the approval rating of our oversized Pa. Legislature?
I do think Metcalfe, Moul and Rock are among the better ones. Keller is definitely a business as usual supporter.

You're right....you are just a fool.
Kauffman and Rock, you are doing what's needed to be done for a long time. Putting decency, morality and accountability back into our government. Let me put my teeth in so I can give you both a big kiss.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
