Rockwood Festivals

I think the Festivals have gone way downhill since we lost Beverly Stroh and "YES" John Evans took over. It was in the paper that Peggy Evans tried to get half of Rockwood 2000's money for the Festivals--for Johnny. Rockwood 2000 gives a lot to the city and has done so for years. Iam glad they voted against it!!!

Concerned, if you have some ideas to help with the Rockwood festivities them please post them. I think if we ALL work together in a positive way, then we'll see things improve in Rockwood. Here's a simple solution:

positive words + positive actions= a positive community

I don't think John would spend so much time and work if he didn't have our community/downtown growth and improvements at heart.

Citizen, I agree. Consider having it at the Sports Complex. More room room and I am sure people would pay a buck to get in. That would pay for some great entertainment. Better entertainment would bring MORE people. NOTHING is open downtown anyway. Take some hints from the Corn Bread Festival. It don't have to be THAT big, but some great ideas could come from it.

Focus on the young people here. Sure, the current festivals focus on the historical aspects of Rockwood, but if Manchester can start a music festival...why can't Rockwood? Think about all of the talent in this part of Tennessee. Give younger people here something that they would be interested in.

My daughter was very excited when jon evans got amy duggar to come and sing. A lot of the middle school and high school kids were there to meet her. Mrs rymer from the court house had the kids pictures taken with amy duggar. Its still talked about at my supper table.

First of all his name is John Evans and second Mrs Rymer is no longer at the court house she works somewhere else. I think the festivals are fine considering this is Rockwood. Its hard to believe he was able to get Amy Duggar here but he did and i also seen that he was able to get American Pickers here as well. I can say that I have been here long enough to know the previous merchants havent done anything close to that. In saying that Mr John Evans, I tip my hat to you.

Rymer had a brain tumor and thank God cause she tried putting me in states custody for a probation violation. She's one mean ass woman. No one liked being on probation with her because she would lock you up for nothin at all.

Well, this aint nothing him and his wife has lots of connections and you juat wait and see who they can bring in here nobody has a clue to who all they know and it will really help our town

You are obviously are a moron. The tax payers didn't pay her salary for her to be your friend. If you violated your probation then what did you expect her to do, pat you on the back? No!! Go to jail where you belong! Brain tumor or not, she has volunteered her time to many things to help our community. Shame on you for thanking God for her illness. I'm glad she is a part of Rockwood, she is in a class of her own and I thank God she is my friend.

bill anderson brought in amy dugger and american pickers. tiffany knows alot more than she will let on because she has modeled all over and wont tell anybody who she knows just go to johns office and you'll see somebody she knows

Monica Rymer is the sweetest most caring lady Rockwood has. She devotes her life to the youth in our community. I remember her at the anti drug coalition meetings trying to make a difference, now that she is sick her husband has picked up where she has left off. She is very ill and hasn't had good news lately, she doesn't tell people her business but she needs our support. Not many around like her.

No one cares about Tiffany, John, Monica , Bill or whoever else in this town. We don't need american pickers around here. Get a life!!!

She was my probation officer and I loved her. Didn't like community service but she always bought my food cause I never had money. I wuz scared when she found a cigerett on me, she let me have it. She can get loud. I still luv her and thanx her for caring about me. Who is the amy chic they are talkin bout?

Her husband is the idiot cop they call deacon cuz he carries a bible and preaches. So what idiot, we don't care about you, your wife or your so called bible thumping words.
