I was one of the first officers there I came for back up.When I pulled up into that drive it was just another call for help.I had a shot gun pointed at this mans chest.All that was a small pull of the trigger.I could of killed somebodys son ,a father of kids that all you knew.That is just like playing God I dont want that job.Yes I have to do it because I picked it to do for a living.Yes I went to the post and shot paper people but they dont shoot back.Was scared you bet you ass I was.I am still my having nightmares about it.We are just like you but you as a county put us every day in danger when you fight, get drunk, steal form your the stores that feed you at your table.And before you know it you will need more of us.So when you hear a bump in the night who are you going to call.Or somebody from another county comes over and steals your stuff oh wait I know your going to get your gun and shoot them right are you certified .Look what is coming to Gordonsville. But your good will tell you what you want to hear.But behind your back he is calling you something else.There are only 4 officers in Gordonsville.Did you elect him no he just he moved right in.He dont know how to tie his shoes must less be a Mayor.He dont know where he is at half the time.When somebody comes into the new Arbys and puts a gun in one of you children face do you think your new Mayor cares no he dont but if the only police is busy the just going to wait.But the gunman wont and shoots one of your kids working to buy a new car or for graduation.I dont think you would mind if Ricky Slack was there then would you.So if the people of this county would get off there ass and look around I think they would see there county going to see how there county is going the thugs and the drugs every day.Look at the nice Appt we have on the hill.We cant afford another Police officer but we can build a side walk from the Appt to hwy 53.They cant afford a fire hall but the built a 100,000 Office.Your Mayor wont let his departments apply for free grant money I guess it has to be kept up with to close no cookie jar money.You pay taxes everyday you check your slip at wal-mat but you dont know how they spend your tax dollars WAKE UPPPPPPP LOOK AROUND YOU AND SEE go to the meetings and watch they will put it off untill you are not there.They dont want you to see.Look how many are standing outside talking we the meeting is over that is where your money is spent not inside where you can see.They dont want you to know people.More to come later less see what you do before I write anymore.

This is in reference to Harold Baines, ex-assistant police chief and the comments about the mayor and the town of Gordonsville. The town does not need a policeman who can not compose a sentence and writes like he has a 4th grade education. I haven't seen any new sidewalks to the new apartments that he is a regular visitor tii, at least to one certain apartment,out of uniform while on duty at the tax payers expense. Do we need that? Is he protecting us? I don't think so. The 100,000 dollars was approved under the FORMER mayor (Bradford)not mayor Stewart. Now we need to leave the man alone and let him do his job. You stay off the drugs, keep your pants zipped and take care of business at home or the apartment, whichever.We all make choices, yours apparently wasn't a good one.

You are not very observant or you would see a few county cars up there.All by the way I was not talking about anyone so watch the names you use NEXT TIME.Untill you know your facts.And don't be peaking out a window.

I really don't know have to call names, you did describe yourself to a tee. How come the other cop had to drive you home? Wonder where you are getting all this dope? From the hospital? I have talked to a lot of people in Gordonsville and everyone thinks a lot of mayor Stewart and in their opinion he has done more for the people of Gordonsville in the short time he has been in office than the former mayor did in his 8 years. I am sorry to say, but Harris is no police chief. He has no mangement or people skills. He does make a heck of a puppet. He is just a man that is retired on duty. The mayor...well if he was excuting his duties, he would see the police did something other than just ride around and draw a check, run out gas, put miles on a car and basiclly stealing from the tax payers due to not doing what they are paid to do.
Gordonsville is not the sleepy little town it was in the 70's. There is more dope using/dealing, along with a regular poker game(for cash)going on in one of the buisness, liquer store selling to under age people, and the list goes on.
You have to ask yourself why has there been soooo much turn over in Gordonsville PD? Since 2007 there has been at least 9 offciers come and go..this is in a department of only 5. If this was a private buisness, there would have been a mangement change.
Maybe this is what the alderman and citzens want? I really think you need to get more involved in what is really going. Harris doesn't have a clue, therefore it would be a lost cause to go there. Former Alderman Dillard could probally give you some insight, for he knows the truth.
No matter what you may or may not think of the former Asst. Chief...he did try to do what was right, from what I could see from the outside and was held back by the mayor and Harris. I don't know what he did or didn't do. But from what I saw from the outside he always tried to do what was right.

I can spot an ex cop just by his writing, there is just a certain ring to it. Maybe that comes from years of being in law enforcement myself. You are absolutely right about some things. Harris is not chief material, he is too laid back and passive, although he is a good man. There has been a big turnover in officers, it is a small town and it is had to find officers and if they are good they will move on to bigger and better things. There are plenty who want to be cops and they want to play cops and robbers, they don’t last long. You didn’t last long did you? I have heard they do have one good man back, Bass. Wonder who hired him.(maybe the mayor) Don’t cut your mayor short. He has just been in office a few months with a big mess to straighten out from the previous so called management. As far as the drugs and dope in Gordonsville, they are everywhere. I would like for you to show me a town in the United States that is not full of drugs. I must reply concerning the poker games, they've gone on for years why should anyone be worried about them now?? What about the bigger games in Carthage, believe it or not these games in Carthage go on in the nice subdivisions not in the local out of sight hangout.

I am taking action but it takes time. I am putting this on here so people know what kind of law system we got around here. This is no fairy tale and i am getting the word out there. i have also contacted channel 5 news with this. If my husband does man up about this he would be the one to go to jail not them. The law has already told him to do nothing and to stay out of it. There is no justice here. Nobody can shut my mouth though and its going to keep on running. From here in Smith county and all the way across the world. Something will be done about this. Wait and see.

Justice will be served one of these days. The guy will pay for it in the end. I have decided to leave this in God's hands. He will answer for this on judgement day. I have a good lawyer. His name is JESUS CHRIST. Plus, i have turned my life around and i am going to try and put this behind me. It is hard but i can do it with the Lord's help. If nothing's done about it here on earth something will bw done about this in the next life to come. Good day.

Thank you for your concern but like my wife said i cannot do nothing.So coming on here and letting some steam off does help me get rid of some of my anger without getting physical and going to jail.I will not take vengance in my own hands as i will follow the scripture and let the lord jesus christ handle this.God bless you hippie dude and may he fill your cup full of the holy ghost.
