By far the worst car buying experience of my life. Do NOT under any circumstances do business with AutoExchangeUSA.

I bought a car last June and found it the worst car buying experience of my life as well. I am still waiting for this business to pay the settlement I won against them in small claims court. Stay away from this business...

Auto Exchange USA is a joke. Amatures trying to act like a respectable business. What a joke. Check their testimonial page and see all 2 raving reviews. What about the many scathing reviews??? Joshy boy is a joke and Jared is his right hand monkey...
sales or quality of car

If anyone happens to read this, I am very interested buyer in a car of auto exchange's. I currently own a lemon VW, and have been fighting with the dealership i purchased it from for two years.
I can understand how the buying experience could have been the worst ever, but I wanted to know if this was because they seemingly ripped you off or was it because of what you purchased?
I have strict standards of sales and avoid getting worked or ripped off, but I certainly am not going to travel from Colorado if they dont sell quality vehicles, and their vehicles seem to be crap or have extensive issues. I have had my fair share of pyscho european cars.
Sorry to hear of your bad experiences, I am not planning to go there since there is any bad word of them, but I would just like to know what your opinions are on what you purchased.

Terrible experience at this place....Joshy boy tries to act like the "professional" owner and operator, while in reality, his business practices are sleazy. The young men we dealt with were obnoxious, loud, and clueless. In fact, this dealership looked more like a juvenile delinquent center than anything else! Shady people all over the place, beating the piss out of the cars, swearing nonstop, etc....AVOID THIS GUY AND HIS SO-CALLED "DEALERSHIP"....Josh has a lot to learn about running a decent business...

The WORST car dealership in Pennsylvania, by far....
This dealership defines "shady" and gives the entire business a bad reputation. The whole place is managed like a kid's clubhouse and very unprofessional. I would never recommend buying ANYTHING from Joshy boy and his buddies who "hang out" trashing and thrashing the vehicles that sit on the lot. AVOID THIS PLACE!

I just tried to buy a truck from this dealership. They agreed to sell it to me but when I asked about title because I was driving it back to Canada, they told me they didn't have title and had no idea when they would receive a title certificate.

I'd say avoid them.

Drove 2 and a half hours out to look at 5...5! different VW GLIs. Almost all of them were covered in dents and scratches, cracked bumpers, missing shift knobs etc. One of them was in decent condition and wasn't too terribly priced so i agreed to buy it, keep in mind it was listed at 13,990. Eventually after completely detailing the car for me and having the things i wanted fixed done, 4 hours later, we sat down to draw up the paper work. Magically the car became 14,990. I was told that i must have heard him incorrectly over the phone, but when he walked out of the room i looked it up on autotrader on my phone, and autotrader still said 13,990. Long story short i walked out livid for having wasted a full day of work.

Bought a 2004 VW GLI from them and after the first week the battery died. Then a month later the trany went.(have a feeling they had something to do with it, but I can't prove it) After both I called them to see what they were willing to do to make it right. Both times Jared told me he had to talk to Josh and that he would get back to me. Afters days of waiting and me calling them back, I had to call from a different phone number to get them to answer my call. After I got the trany fixed I wanted to rid myself of this car, but nobody around me would even give me enough to payoff my loan. So I called Jared to see if they would buy the car back and they did at $4000 less then I bought it for.($5000 if you include the tax and tags and oh yeah lets not for get i just put a new trany in it which my part was $1340) They cut a check to me for the difference of my loan. That check bounced. Did I meantion that I'm a law enforcement officer and they knew that? So after threating them with charges and jail time they overnighted a money order to me. As for my loan payoff it took more phones calls most of which went unanswered and unreturned, but 3 weeks later it got payed off. IT WAS AN ALL AROUND FUN CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE AND CAN'T WAIT TO BUY MY NEXT CAR FROM THEM!?!?!?

Worst dealership ever! They talk nice too your face but never return a call, or followed though with any thing. Sold us a cheap extended warrenty and found out they never paid for it. As of Jan the warrenty company is now refusing to do business with the dealership. This is only one of the MANY LIES they told. It took months to get title and the bank was all over us because of there poor paperwork process. The car is now having problems and we have no warrenty but no way would I trust Jared or Josh with the car. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!
Should Not Be In Business

I have no idea why this company is still in business. Auto Exchange USA, Lancaster PA is the worse place to buy a car. No one will call you back. I paid for extended warranty that I found out that I don't really have. I guess I will have to press charges for that. I am not going to let them get a way with it. I would suggest if you bought an extended warranty, call the company, I bet you are not covered. Jared is the worse salesman and Josh, the owner, is no better. They sell vehicles with out having the titles. Selling extended warranties and pocketing the cash. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

I'd like to start by saying this was a waste of a two hour drive. This place is terrible. We drove almost 150 miles to look at a vehicle we were told was on the lot PRIOR to leaving only to get there and hear several excuses to why it wasn't when we had shown up. I mean the reviews speak accurately for themselves and the few positive reviews they do have seem fake, simply flukes, or the thing just hasn't broken down on them yet. Give it time, it will...TRUST ME! They buy beat up, busted, cheap vehicles which they claim to be "rare and exotic" so they can get away with half the lies they tell. The reality is they buy a vehicle for 5 grand, slap some new breaks and tires on it if they need, do an oil change, and fix whatever exterior damage it may have (to a certain extent however) and try to sell it for 3-4 thousand more. Then the thing breaks down and its like trying to get ahold of a travelling circus, its like they disappear. I'm well aware of how the used car business works and these guys set a bad example for the other honest dealerships trying to make a living. It's a shame. It's more of a hangout for "thugs" than it is a car dealership. While myself and my son were waiting on a test drive (yes a 20 minute wait for a drive which we were actually trying to be talked out of) we could overhear the owner screaming vulgarities into the telephone at the top of his lungs. Not exactly the definition of professionalism. Selling NIGHTMARE cars for RIDICULOUS prices should be their slogan instead. STAY AWAY I WARN YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Great experience

I was skeptical about going to this dealership based on the reviews, but went anyway because I wanted to suprise my wife with a vehicle as she graduated with her Master's Degree. Upon entering, I was greeted by a pretty nice african american guy that assisted me through entire buying process. I had pretty edgy credit, but he was able to get me financed and was very professional. I thought, something is wrong, this is going to smooth based on the reviews. I brought up the subject to him in regards to the horrible reviews this place has. He did not deny them at all. He simply said that he was aware and he is working hard to change the image. He stated that he is the new manager and is working hard to rebuild the bad image. Everything was upfront and no hidden agendas. He even called me a few days after the sale to see how I was doing and how my wife enjoyed the surprise!!! I even posted it on YouTube!! Thank you Auto Exchange for helping me celebrate my wife. The way this guy Greg is running it, he should be able to turn things around in time.

The owner is in jail for fraud. I'm looking into a class action lawsuit.

Josh Berney, the owner of Auto Exchange, is a THIEF. He does NOT pay his bills. He has work performed on cars at honest business' and does not pay for it. This man (and I use this term loosely) has No honor or integrity. If he will steal from another business, he will steal from you. You have been warned.
