If you are, or have attended Daymar College I would strongly recomend that you call the number on this ad and just listen to what the lawyers have to say. They are crooks just trying to get into your pocket and lie about credits and job placement. Please, If you have attended, call the number.

I currently go to Daymar, and I can say that I haven't been told that Daymar would help me with job placement. I do agree, however that the books are extremely expensive. But you can also go online and purchase most of the books at a lower cost or can buy used books as I have done in the past. It's just that it's more convenient to buy them at the daymar bookstores. And also I have been told that I need to check other schools to make sure that the credits will transfer, because some will but some will not. And you'll find that at any other college. The only thing I have questioned in the past is the $80.00 lab fee for every class..... some classes you do not use the computer lab. I have this semester and then next semester I start my internship, I will find out then If Daymar helps to place you in your job. But I would honestly think that should be up to you, on how you do your resume and where you put them out at. If you look for other jobs, for instance right out of high school you have no one holding your hand to go out and find a job. It's up to you on how you pursue finding a job in your field.

I go to a Daymar campus in Ohio; and sadly I agree with most of what the law office's website says. I am majoring in Medical Massage therapy and I absolutely love the classes, my classmates & my teacher. I was agreed that they would try to help with job placement, BUT there was no guarantee that they could find me a job.
I CAN say I was told from the school themselves that I could not transfer my credits and schools, because it was privately owned.
"that students were compelled to purchase textbooks and supplies at exorbitant prices from Daymar;"
I agree with this statement 100%. I asked the bookstore lady if I could just go to amazon and get my books from there to save a little bit of money; because honestly, I am a 21 year old single mother of a 14-month-old boy & I was hoping to save some of my pell grant money to help out with bills & for my son. The bookstore lady gave me a flat-out NO, & said that I HAD to buy my books through their shop. She never gave me a reason to why I had to buy my books there... Just 5 books; my anatomy book; my taber's encyclopedia, my trail guide, my kellogg book; my kellogg outline book cost over 850 DOLLARS! Just the books themselves! Then I had to pay for my scrubs & whatnot.
"and that the quality of their instruction was severely deficient."
This is another statement I 100% agree with. First and second quarter was awesome; I had the same teacher & I loved that, because I think a lot of her. 3rd quarter, everything went to hell, but not for my class at first. We were entering 3rd quarter & one of the instructors had quit. Our 2nd quarter class were LITERALLY left without a teacher. So they kept coming in and studied, while the head of the department gave them assignments. They had another instructor come in from one of the other campuses & she had quit after the first day! Because 'the class was unruly & obnoxious.' That is a LIE. We are all kept at the same end of the building, and other than them making a joke about something & laughing about it, I never heard the first peep out of that class. So MY teacher, that I've had since first quarter, had to give up our anatomy class to go teach the 2nd quarter muscles. Now we have an RN as a teacher, and honestly, I can't stand her. I still have my teacher for massage & sometimes pathology.
PLUS, there was one time where my teacher had to literally teach 3 different classes in 1 NIGHT. It was a massage night. All 3 classes were in the same room. 1st and 2nd quarter were in the back of the room doing massages & learning techniques, & our class was stuck in the front watching a movie.
Another point that was not mentioned in their statement, I understand that every school has its' attendance policy. At my campus, you could miss 2 days worth of classes & you would not need a doctor's note in order to be excused. I mean, we all have lives, stuff comes up not medically-related. For example, I have a son, and there are only 2 classmates of mine that do NOT have kids, and there's 6 of us. Sometimes they have doctor's appointments. Even not child-related, Sometimes your car won't start or something goes wrong where you can't make it to class. This quarter, NOW you have to have a doctor's excuse in order to miss either of the 2 days you could miss! What if your car won't start and you literally have no way of getting there? What if you run out of gas on the way to school? What if one of your family members pass away? I do not agree with their new policy at all.
I understand that attendance is important, but only 2 days over a 13 week period? & we have to have a doctor's excuse or we get a zero for the day? In my opinion that's kind of extreme. I honestly believe this is Daymar's way of boosting their ratings up because of their horrible reputation.
It's safe to say that this lawsuit against Daymar has me all fired up!

And another point that I didn't have room to put, my mother attempted to go to Daymar to study medical assisting. She could only go one quarter and had to drop out due to the stress of both of us going to school at the same time. She officially withdrew close to a month before first quarter ended; & Daymar tried to charge her for attending second quarter even though she withdrew!

I just tried to contact them but the lady said they were all out of town.
I wasn't aware of any meeting until now.
I don't know what to do; because I had such a good feeling about the school at first... and I don't know if I'm just wasting my time [because I'm in 3rd quarter] or if I should just stick with it.

Wow really? So you already graduated there & went back for online classes?
I was told by many sources that Daymar had a horrid reputation, even before they were called Daymar. I don't know if it was called the same thing down there where the rest of you live but up here it was Southeastern Business college. & my mother, back when I was a kid, tried to go there & they screwed her AND her friend from high school; & that was back when I was around 7 or 8 years old!

i went to Daymar college in Paducah they charged me a monthly fee.. but only certain people had to pay it even if we didn't have a job we still had to pay it which isn't right.. they guarantee us that once we graduated that they would help us find a job for a lifetime even if we quit or got fired we could go back and they would help us find a job in our career field they lied I have friends that have graduated and they are still at the same job they were working when they were going to college. Why make a promise they can't keep? my starting off career at Daymar was criminal justice then once they got the Medical massage therapy i transfered to that not all my credits went so i had to retake classes i done took.. i wasn't happy about that.. and i didn't even change colleges i stayed at the same Daymar

Murfreesboro, Tn Daymar Institute is horrible. They charge $ 80.00 fees for each of the three classes for technology and two of the three printers are broke down. The criminal justice program has some teachers who maybe be qualified with a masters degree but do not know how to relate to students.

I am sure you are glad you sent the link Tina Cain, if you had been as dedicate to your learning as you have been to trying to discredit Daymar , you would have a job by now. no wait as I remember professionalism wasn't the top thing on your list , I do believe it was acting and dressing like a hoochey. Why don't we leave this to the public to decide, I think your creditibilty should come into to question also, why don't we bring your skeltons out of the closet and see how credible people think you are. And by the way 4 of the people involved in the lawsuit did not graduate and there were others that did get jobs, but decided they were to busy to go to work.
