H1N1 clinics | The Columbus Dispatch

Do we live in a third world country now? I have insurance for my 2 1/2 year old son and his doctor's have yet to recieve a single dose of the h1n1 vac and have no idea when they will get any. But we can go stand in a line in a friggin parking lot for hours to get one?

If this is a taste of what goverment run health care is going to be like, count me out!

I love how our Medical Industry has become take the shot, or take this pill. There are natural ways to beat this. no need to vaccinate. But you wont listen. So good luck. Millions of Americans consider the "lack of vaccine" a good thing. I hope they just don't plan to make it manditory.

While it is all fine and good to vaccinate these high risk categories I do not understand why each year there is so much trouble getting the vaccines necessary to vaccinate ''everyone'' who wants it and especially since the H1N1 started showing up how friggin long ago?

You won't see these people out with the rest of the population as it has been revealed that they have their own sources that come to them and provide these services and it is like that for most of the upper levels of government-bet they don't pay a friggin dime for it either!

Both girls have been vaccinated.(Physician administered at the White House). No, no lines for the Obama girls, or the Wall Street Executives (Citibank) or prisoners in Ohio or Detainees at Gitmo.

To answer some of the questions 'dave','nec' and 'realist' asked...the President's daughters have been vaccinated along with ALL of the children in the Washington DC school system. The President and First Lady have NOT been vaccinated and are not planning on it until the vaccine is available to ALL.

Once the virus was identified a vaccine was planned. This vaccine must be grown in eggs and, as it has been reported, it failed to grow quickly like the seasonal flu virus so this delayed production of the vaccine. Thus the shortage.

I along with my 2 1/2 yr old son and 11 yr. old daughter w/diabetes attended the clinic on Weds. at Vets Memorial. It was run smoothly and although it was my choice I waited only two hours before the clinic opened.

No one is telling you that you must get this shot. They are only recommending it so be an adult and make your own decision. Please don't criticize those who do get the shot or those who don't get the shot or the process of getting it. Everyone is doing the best they can with the information they have in front of them.

The vaccination is for 1 "strain" of flu/germs....there are SO MANY MORE.
And the best protection is with Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils...ever hear of The Plague?? Bubonic Plague?? They stopped those germs.

I like your thinking, we can beat this naturally. It's just to bad our government doesn't push the natural ways to beat it. Instead its wash your hands and take the shot. Good call Mark....

I always thought that soap and water were pretty natural things. As a matter of fact, immunization relies on a natural process. As for Mark--you might notice that he's trying to sell you some of his "natural" snake oil.

YES. IF the government feels you are derserving they may get you some medicine..

The Goverment has had all the time it needed. It screwed up as usual. The rest of us can just catch the flu and grin and bear it. As for Concerned Mom, You want to bet the bank Obama et al haven't been vacinated?
