lancaster high school

what is the problem over at this school? Racial fights everyday, riots after school planed, does anyone know? any other parents out there hearing the same thing?

I was with the second class to graduate out of there but about two years ago it was the worst i had heard about.

We all hear it. Sometimes we know about it before the school does. We report it. But, they (high school admin), what is it they say...oh yeah, "they'll note it".

I want to know what happened? I picked my son up from school and there is cops everywhere. Then the principal leaves a message about snack and now my son sent me a text and said we are on the news so what is going on?

Just look at this sewer of a community. Does any of this really surprise you?

That's what happend when you put a prison in the middle of the desert everything follows. You can't generalize blacks and mexicans it is the element the prison brings. I talked to someone at the school that I know and apparently there was fighting after school but no weapons were involved, They have separated the kids into 2 snack periods and added additional security. My daughter graduated from there last year and this happens every year when the new freshman start they always think they are so big and bad and sometimes they get their ass kicked. It will calm down.

Wow, I thought that was "good" area of town... I know it once was. Sounds like something you'd expect from East Lancaster.

This is what happens when you bus a bunch of kids from East Lancaster to a school in West Lancaster. I believe that approximately 40% of the students at LNHS are bused over from the East side.

I agree with Dad's comment. My daughter was in the first graduating class of LNHS. It is unbelievable that a group of students can take over a campus under the umbrella of "racial tension". Beverly Lowe was the first principal at LNHS and a group of parents pushed her out because she was too tough on the students! Go figure! Halt the out of district transfers and enforce TOLERANCE to school violence and you will see LNHS shape up real fast!

The problem is there is no control and adults dont get the respect from the kids, literally people are afraid of the kids now days, there was a day that it was shamefull to get kicked out of school, its like a notch on the belt,or even to get pregnant was shamfull while you were in school.The schools are to busy stroking there ego's,no child left behind crap,lets get back to discpline and learning, instead its a mini prison each day on lock down...while we parents that have respectfull kids are left to worry.

Quick question... Do the students still wear uniforms? It's been awhile since I last drove by when school lets out.

Maybe the valley press should step up and focus on whats going on with our schools and children.

Why not? I thought that was an excellent way for all the kids to feel like they were equals. Too bad they changed it.

Sorry folks, a correction to my earlier post. I meant "ZERO TOLERANCE". To the concerned parents and students, unite and send a message to AVUHSD that enough is enough!!!

You guys think it's bad on the Westside, try having your child going to the New Eastside Highschool. 1st year and now it's in it's 5th year! Freshman year was great, sophmore year all I heard about was how my child had her face plastered up against the classroom windows watching the fights between the black and mexicans, sheriffs everywhere then! They just had there first senior class graduate in June. Oh and by the way, Eastside kids don't get bussed to the Westside, they get the kids bussed from Littlerock to them. Whoever told you that is #$*&*&. If we are lucky enough to cross the tracks we have to drive them and give fake addresses. Take it from a parent of a good student who had to finally go the Charter school route due to threats of being beat up every day because she wouldn't dumb down!

It's not the lack of teachers or administration not being able to handle the kids, its's more of the parents thinking and saying "not my kid", the parents can't even handle there own kids. Of course when adults were threatened with Child Protected Services for good old fashioned discipline, we were doomed! We were all kids once and we know what we tried to get away with but back in the day if we got caught we got punished and when I mean punished I mean the spankings, not abuse, but a good old fashioned spanking where the kids still repected us. Punishment now is taking their cell phone away, bummer!
I thnk they should be spending our hard earned tax money on education, knowledge is power!

Whats the school district going to do!
Expel them just leaves another juvenile delinquent on the streets. They are not allowed to discipline, and the parents won't take responsibility for their childrens actions, come on people, get your head out of the clouds. Personally, I think boot camp the first 6 weeks of sophmore year would do them all a world of good! Maybe the kids would appreciate how good they really have it!
