I was at the Raven Saturday before Labor Day, very quiet night. May be that everyone went to Rehoboth? Is the Nevermore still open. Those who were at Raven were a mix of ages and styles. Nice crowed.

Who is the cadaver always at the left end of the bar by the kitchen...Rich? Rick? He must drink all day, 24/7. Incredibly unpleasant person.

I was up at the Raven Saturday night- everything was cool...Glen the bartender is very nice and for the most part the people in there are all right...However there is this one big fat queen that was wearing a huge red sweatshirt or something(maybe it was a car cover) that was prancing around as eloquently as the hippos in the movie Fantasia and carrying some sort of feather duster...This queen is a complete fat mess -from the hat(because everytime I ever seen it- it has it on) to the eye liner that completely seals the deal of this thing looking like a horse's a**...Anyways this big red thing has a huge attitude problem and needs to be banned because he completely ruined the experience of being there on Saturday for me...He's lucky we weren't on the street outside the bar...What a pathetic thing this is- I say thing because I can't truly make out what the hell it is? He's so fat other times I have seen him up there with a little electric fan, fanning himself, because it gets overheated trolling from one end of the bar to the other. This hot mess makes Liberace look like Rocky! You know what though the best satisfaction I can get is knowing that it must know he's disgustingly ugly both inside and out...All the big red "designer" shirts that it thinks it owns and all the eyeliner can't hide how much of an A**hole this thing is...What a shame to allow something like that to haunt the Raven- This is to the big red queen - put the feather duster down - beg to get onto the "extreme makeover show" - but I do believe that even this red slimer is beyond help from them - you sick pri**.

Let me get my eyeliner and red car cover ready for tonight...Ooops don't want to forget my feather duster....Now what else oh., my hat for my bald head and my triple x size pants....I am going to be sitting in the piano bar area with all the other crypt keepers(who don't even want me themselves) and I'll be dusting away....I look like an uglier version of Boy George....you won't be able to miss me!!

I was young once, and thought I would never get older. But it comes, and quickly. Respect people of all ages. If you don't die, you'll be older yourself one day (soon).

Things seem to be going well at the Raven. Spread the word that dinners, lunches, and Sunday brunch are being served. Have been several times and really enjoyed the food. Robbie mans the bar during the day. He is Mr. Raven. Does anyone really go to the Nevermore?

Truth is you guys don't know what you're talking about, and your youth is being taken so much for granted. Stop bashing people for their age, their looks, their income, if they have fashion sense, etc.. It's all...meaningless

As for the Raven, it always attracted a certain crowd, but was absolutely not everyone's favorite place to go. It had its time, and nothing today compares to Raven at its height. The Prelude and Cartwheel far surpassed Raven. Now go pluck your feathers.

Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind smiles we give to one another for the way we were. Can it be that it was all so simple then or has time rewritten every line? If we had the chance to do it all again tell me would we? Could we? Memories, may be beautiful and yet what's too painful to remember we simply choose to forget So it's the laughter we will remember whenever we remember the way we were.

I remember Sundays in New Hope. I mean, we'd go to our hometown bars on Saturday, but Sundays were almost like a second Saturday. Men were walking around everywhere, all the way to the middle of town, and on the little bridge and underneath it too. To a guy like me who knew the "other New Hope," this town died, at least, 2 decades ago.

She is smiling alone In the lamplight The withered leaves collect at my feet And the wind begins to moan Memory All alone in the moonlight I can smile at the old days I was beautiful then I remember the time I knew what happiness was Let the memory live again Every streetlamp Seems to beat a fatalistic warning Someone mutters And the streetlamp gutters And soon it will be morning Daylight I must wait for the sunrise I must think of a new life And I musn't give in When the dawn comes Tonight will be a memory too And a new day will begin Burnt out ends of smoky days The stale cold smell of morning The streetlamp dies, another night is over Another day is dawning Touch me It's so easy to leave me All alone with the memory Of my days in the sun If you touch me You'll understand what happiness is Look, a new day has begun
