Homicide Charges Against Mother, Daughter Sent to Court

Ronald Luyster MAY HAVE BEEN THE WORST ABUSER IN THE COUNTRY BUT HE WASN'T ABUSING ANYONE WHEN HE WAS KILLED FROM AMBUSH.

SELF-DEFENSE CAN JUSTIFY HOMICIDE BUT THIS IS A CASE OF SELF-DEFENSE.

THE WIFE AND DAUGHTER HAD LEGAL RECOURSES THEY COULD HAVE TRIED FIRST.

I am the father of clarissa's 15 month old son ryan.. Ronnie wasnt abusive at all.
I lived with that family. I spent almost everyday with that family for 3 years...
His wife and daughter were control freaks and had gotten pfa's to keep him inline if he would try to make his own desicions..
The boyfriend is an asshole.. he wanted to be my sons father.. i was next on their list.. yes there was a list..

he wasnt abusive at all. i lived with them.. the wife and daughter (patti and clarissa) are control freaks... i am the father of clarissa's son ryan.. her and her mother were crazy... ronnie was a great guy with a good heart.. he loved everyone and would do anything to help anyone in need.. all he wanted was to be with his familie...

i do not care if you are clarissa's kids father. you are an idiot if you dont think ron was abusive. it will all come out in the end what kind of an ass he was. i have seen you say how great he was on more then one occasion and i cant keep my mouth shut any more. you are what 16 or 17 years old. you lived with them for three years? big damn deal, i knew ron for a hell of alot longer then that and he only cared about what benafitted him, you ass. ron luyster was the biggest self centered piece of shit i have ever met. granted i have never met you but i am betting you come in a close 2nd.

it is me....i understand if you dont want to say who you are but that was a long time ago and i met a few people there so i cant place you right now. any other hints?

I think it's very nice of you Mr. Murphy to say some positive things about Mr Luyster. After all he's not here to defend himself is he? I'm sure things will come forth at the trial if there is one.. One thing for sure, he didn't deserve to be shot down like a dog with his children yards away.. Some others (the old friends of Patti)may think that murder was the answer, if so they have no more a thought on what's right then the three people DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for his MURDER.. Some people should think about the collateral damage this caused and not how to justify the acts of the COWARDS..

you are correct new yorker....mr. murphy can say what ever he wants. however to say that no-one else has thought about the collateral damage is insane. when you watch someone beat their wife because he could not find the remote to the t.v. or hit his daughter on the face and back so hard he left welts all over her because she repeated something he said or even better telling a daughter she better learn how to preform oral sex well because she is to stupid to do anything else right, you might say that the family has thought of the collateral damage and ended the abuse, whether it be verbal or physical. if you knew ron at all you would know that just walking away with the kids was never an option for patty. ron would never allow it. but i guess everone is allowed an opinion no matter how detatched from the situation they are. have a great evening new yorker.

one more thing new yorker.... i dont think they were cowards....i think the family has been very brave to deal with what they have been thru over the past 20 years. but i dont really expect you to understand that.

John, thanks for your thoughts and insight..BUT if you watched Mr Luyster beat his wife and hit his daughter then you were also part of the problem for watching and not doing anything.. There's not a place in this country that family abuse is tolerated and she could have gotten out (and with the children).. Maybe she had a different motive.. John your also right that I'm not close to this situation.. I wonder how 9 children were made in 20 years if things were that bad.. I don't think the wife was as Saintly as you might want others to think, I'm sure you could tell some good ones about her being the perfect mother.. Thanks for the time and talk.. N.Y'er

you are absolutely correct with what you say. i am sure that patty was not perfect either and as far as the 20 years thing thats how long patty and ron were together and their oldest is almost 20 now. without getting into to much detail i am on no-ones side i have my own feelings toward mr. luyster ( not good, for my own reasons) as well as patty. we can speculate who was right or wrong and we can speculate what should happen or not happen but neither one of us has to deal with it. the fact of the matter is what did happen is horrible, if for no other reason it has badly effected the lives of the eight other kids who are now fatherless. i think we could both agree that no matter what happens it is all about the remaining eight kids at this point. you are correct that patty, clarissa and this young man have made their bed and they will have to deal with whatever happens. my only hope is that the kids that have to deal with this on a day to day basis will eventually be o.k......wouldnt you agree?
