Arrests Made in East Carroll Parish Homicide

The crime rate in Lake Providence is very high and I hope the people that are being picked up for these crime get the time they deserve because it's a shame you can't even go out and enjoy yourself because of stupidity and it's bad we already don't have no where to go here in Lake Providence to enjoy ourselves and people still do crazy things. I hope the two people that are being charge for killing Ms. White do some serious time for that and Mr. Newman also. I feel if the police here in Lake Providence would have did something about Ms. Washington and her friends jumping on Ms. White sister and beating her in the head with a weight then this would have been avoided Washington along with friends only recieved a few days in jail for that when something should have been done about it. I feel that the Lake Providence Police Dept. should be under investigation because it's things going on here and there is nothing been done about it the chief lock up who she want and let some get away with a lot

Louisiana you know what you have to do. Execute the sorry excuses of human excrement that murder innocent United States American citizens. Don't put these burdens of society on death row for 20 years before executing them. Execute them A.S.A.P.

I hope that this make alot of people think of how easy it is to live today and die tomorrow. The best thing that we all could do is repent and ask God for forgiveness and love everuyone as THE Great I AM Himself!! Lake Providence Louisiana it is time to take your stand against the enemy. I am truly sadden to see Lake Providence is still in the past, when I was growing up there I loved the town, but as you get older you want more out of life besides sitting around I haven't been back in sixteen years, because the town is so run down and dangerous.

I agree with LaTasha I think the Lake Providence Police Dept. should be under investigation because its things going on that shouldn't be. I feel so sorry for the chief because she got alot of people fool. I think the case with Ms.White is if chief had done her job the first time when they had a fight it probably wouldn't happen the second time. I believe the Lake Providence Police Dept.need to be SHUT DOWN.

I don't know anything personally about the chief there but I use to date a guy from Lake Providence(a well known guy) that told me a lot about her. I think you all should just have a town meeting and voice your opinions about the situations going on. Because things like that should not be going on in the town. People need to stop being so scared of saying what they feel. I'm sorry if you all think I should mind my business but I hate how my friend told me how she did him.

I agree with you LaTasha Lake Providence really needs to get serious about the crime here. I would say that its not all on the police dept. some where in between all this mayhem the Mayor should have step up and took control of his town. The crime rate here is just ashame this town is to small for all of this to be going on. Its a who you know thing, my brother Eddie Green was killed back in 2000 and nothing was done about it, they called it self-defense my understanding is that in a self-defense claim a person has to been touch you in the moment that the incident happen to make you snap not remember something that happen a month ago and walk up and shoot someone in the head and not get any time for it. He should have at least been charge with illegal possesion of a gun, endangering others, shooting in a occupied dewelling...maybe its me but he should have been charged with something..that is just an example of how Lake Providence justice system work..it ain't worth SHIT so don't depend on it...its amazing how New Orleans can rebuild after Katrina but we can't get over crime we need HELP BAD!

there are alot of crimes going on in Lake Providence and Oak Grove and the way there law takes care of things is not okay. There were three lives taken in a house fire October 14, 2008 and there has not been justice served. They arrested 6 men and 2 out of 6 our innocent there is a big chase that they might make a wrong move and I am very concerned about it because the innocent one iis my younger brother.
