The documentary was supposed to show in Atlanta for a week, but didn't last that long. The doc. was a accused of being a lie because the homo's were said to have burned their own home, and couldn't collect their home insurance. It was made to make Willacoochee look bad and create sympathy for homo's.

Hey Lighteredknot, I see you are from Fitzgerald, GA. On the movie website I see that a guy Jeff Young is from Fitzgerald and is in this movie. I read that the movie in Atlanta was to show one night on October 4. Not a week. I read in the Valdosta Daily Times Sunday that it also won a best documentary award in New York. Have you seen the movie yet? You said they didnt get any money. Who left that death threat on their answering machine. The paper said that was in the movie and who burnt that cross. Im just curious and I saw you from Fitzgerald and figured you knew this Jeff Young guy and maybe you know more about the movie and the who dunnits. Do tell more.

well, deb... i know that i passed through willacoochee a couple of times on the way west out of pearson on rt. 520 and as i remember it, it wouldn't take an awfully lot to make it look bad anyway.

The insurance company would not pay off on his home burning because they think he burned it for some selfish reason like wanting to get out of town or sympathy. Lots of queers do queer things.

Hey Coochee, Im female and Im sure you are too with that kind of name. I lived in Douglas and my husband knows the Kirklands. Please tell me the link or info to the public records you are referring to. To just say it "public records" is a little misleading. So you are saying that ROY KIRKLAND burned four buildings to collect Insurance over the years? He did? Why didnt this come up in the GBI report or the Insurance Commissioners report? I watched the Documentary. It is pretty damn interesting. I think a lot of folks are just slamming these guys because they are gay. BTW, why does just the house burning come up. What about who burnt the cross and those voices on the tape? If you guys know the answers do tell.....
