How about that HUGE water leak behind the Rebel Arcade??? No one with a water leak should have to pay extra until the city gets that one fixed. Been going on for about 5 years now. Checked it out, chlorine in it and about 500 gallons an hour leaking...

It's time to fix it! How much is that costing the citizens for chlorine, motors, etc at the water tower. That figures out to be about 5 MILLION gallons of Precious Water a year.

Lake Ozark needs to enforce all its water ordinances the way they do it now is unfair to everone. Make everone hook up and enforce the law equally

They need to fix their leaks first. No wonder they don't have any water pressure on the strip it's all going down the hillside.

Hell they don't even have enough sense to keep a reading of how much water they pump at the well heads and how much they sell so they can see how much they are losing. Maybe they don't want this as a matter of record. How bout it Rachel

I don't know where the Rebel Arcade is, or their address, but I do know that a call the the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) would start some action. 5 million gallons of Chlorinated water dumping down the hillside is certainly not good for wildlife. Can you give me the address and more details so I can make the call, or please do it yourself? This is rediculous!

The leak is under the street and the Rebel Arcade is right by the school road across from the Amish store.

Go by and talk to Keeth at the Arcade.. This leak has been going on for 6-7 YEARS. They claim they cant fix it now because it is tourist season!! How about all the other Falls and Springs that they knew about it. I say FIX IT!!!!!

Maybe instead of driving those big trucks up and down the street half of the day, the workers could start digging for that big water leak and getting it fixed. 5 years is long enough. Thats taxpayers money going down the hillside. Wonder what would happen if the people refused to pay their water bill until that got fixed? Oh, they would just shut off your water. It's a shame the taxpayers cant do that to them.

The workers are not to blame for anything, they only do what the honcho's tell them to do, again this starts at city hall!

You got that right. And Johnnie, who was supposed to make changes and get the city moving in the right direction, has done nothing but continue on the same path as the previous administrations. He even disbanded the utility commission so no one knows whats going on. Which menas residents with utility problems no longer have a commission to go to discuss their problems or concerns. Too bad for the citzens of this city.

If you have a problem with water or sewer, you go before the "Barfield Board" and he plays God and knocks a few $$$ off for his big favor. I didn't know the Mayor could just disband a committee without the approval of the board. Of course that wasn't the decision of the Mayor it was the "Barfield Board" Everybody knows the Mayor can't make a decision unless Barfield pulls his strings. Don't you know, those 2 don't want to hear the problems of the citizens - they are too busy bankrupting the city.

When is the work on the 5 million gallon a year leak going to start? They used thetourist season for not starting earlier. Next it will be the cold weather. in the meantime, the water is wasting over the hillside. When a resident has a leak, it is their responsibility and they have to pay the city. In the meantime, the city has a 5 MILLION gallon leak and not fixing it. Seems the city should reimburse the residents for their negligence. This has been going on gor over 6 YEARS!!!!!
