Dr. Wilson took over my dentist's practice. I wouldn't recommend him because in my opinion Dr. Wilson is dishonest, arrogant and inflexible. He does not adequately explain costs and options and says (after the fact) that he cannot be responsible for knowing this.
We ARE insured and he put white composite fillings on our child's non-permanent teeth with no discussion of the possibility that some or perhaps all insurance companies will not cover white composite fillings. I think that is an inexcusable omission. After we questioned the multi-hundred dollar bill, out of left field, he said he doesn't even recommend composite over amalgam. What? Because he is a "professional", I feel he should make recommendations based on costs and his professional preferences and discuss this up front. Our insurance did not cover any of the bill. When we tried to appeal to him to waive some of the charge, he said PAY ALL or NOTHING. Because that seemed odd, we phoned the office and they said if we chose not to pay, they would not send to collections. I actually thought that was an admission of accountability on his part and felt that he understood…until we got a call from the collection agency the other day. That's very poor customer service.
