Um, here's a thought. He was heading to work (perhaps at a restaurant that opens for breakfast at 6 am), or he was heading home from work. If he was heading home, you have to question an employer that would make a 17 year old work that late. Having worked in restaurants for many years, I know how late a shift can last or how early one can start. My guess is, heading east on 62 early on Saturday morning, he was on his way to work (as his home is west of where the accident took place).

When I was 16 and 17 I worked in Gurnee and had to be at work early. I left at 4:30 am to be to work on time (weekends and summer only). What makes you think this kid was violating curfew? How do you know his day wasn't just starting instead of ending as you all suppose? All of you who sit up on your high horses passing judgements on situations you don't even have all the facts for make me sick. God forbid anything bad ever happen to anyone you love.

Where were his parents at? Out at 3:30AM, what is he doing there at that time? Now don't show me grieving parents on the news when they might have prevented it by showing some parental control. They need to be held accountable.

I worked in the court system for years, and am a paralegal now. I know all about what constitutes improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, etc. What YOU do not KNOW is what happened out there on Route 62 in Barrington Hills. How do you know that he didn't have a blow out that sent his car into the other lane? For that matter, how do you know that he did ANYTHING to cause this accident? Ever heard of mechanical failure? Perhaps he swerved to avoid a deer?

My point is that you should not make judgments until you have the facts. Your heart must be smaller than the Grinch's before he met Cindy-Lu. Or perhaps you should change your user name to Tin Man.

I jus want to say 1 more thing ever scence we both lived in well i lived in country glennn he lived in Baldwin greens or w/e its called he was always so happy. Jus thinkin about the memories is makin me wanna cry.. then he moved out to cville then acouple months later i moved out to cville... and even tho we didnt hangout that much when we moved out here. we still talked on the phone alot... and reading someof the peoples ignorant comments is makin me so mad cuz he was a nice kid.. if only the people who are ignorant knew him he was the type of guy that always make u laugh.. i would be upset and he would call jus the stuff he said jus made me laugh my ass off. I luv this boy with all my heart. and to the people who dnt care fuck u guys cuz he has alot of friends and family who care about him. And also this whole thing dosent have anything at all to do with his parents being responsible or not.. the roads were bad that day he prolly hit a patch of ice and swerved u act like he did it on purpose.

Please do not make rude comments what does the child getting killed have to do with him being Illegal:( He was driving with out a drivers licence he made a mistake and through that there was a horrible accident. A child lost his life regardless if he is a citizen or not he is still a human being.

Look 1st of all every1 needs to stop talking about edgars parents. I know them very well they are good people and wouldn't do anything to jepordize their kids' lifes.. they family was torn apart by this. They're not the same anymore so please have a heart and not say all this ignorant shit.
