How dare you - your friend/family terrorizes others, runs, kills self and you follow with threats.. Goes to show the people he had around him..
As for "that's why there is the justice system" - just because there is a justice system does not give losers, low-lifes and criminals carte blanche to do something and IF they get caught they pay.. Nah-uh, that isn't how it's suppose to work..
you are very closed minded and I can't believe you are truly acting like this. This family is in so much pain and regardless of what he did his innocent family is the one paying. He is not here anymore for you to slam. So stop posting these horrible comments that his family is reading. If you knew them you would know that is could happen to you just as easily. You are no better them him by sitting at your computer and hurting his family more than they are hurtung, leave them alone!!!!!

You people have no idea what the entire story is, all of you need to seriously keep your opinions to yourself. This family is going through a great deal of pain and hurt. Why do you have to post these mean comments that his family and friends are reading. Yes, thank God they didn't hurt any innocent people, but you are all worse then them, you are hurting his innocent friends and family. They know what he did was wrong, that doesn't make it ok to bash someone who is not with us anymore. You should all think before you speak and stop hurting this family. They have been through more than enough hurt. You never know what road your lives will go down, so until you are in that place don't judge. There is only one person who is responsible for judging all of us, and it is not you guys. Be a human beings and leave this family alone already!!!!!
We are human beings...and so was the deceased as well as the robbery victim.

Once you get old enough, we have all lost someone. Get over it. Your anger will only cause you to stay sick.

When my sister was killed in a car accident almost 4 years ago, I called the family of the driver of the other car (he was in a coma at the time) and told them, tearfully, that I wanted them to let him know I did not hold him responsible or blame him.

Choices happen. If you don't like the outcome, re-evalute your earlier input to the situation and see if you can take a different path next time.

I can't believe your friend truly terroized and threatened another's life, took things that didn't belong to him and then selfishly took his own life.. If he didn't do it now he would have died some way scandalous.. i.e. drug overdose, shanked in prision or dissing some dudes in a game of dice.. as least we don't have to pay for hospital care or jail storage for this loser.

I never knew carte blanche meant spending 5-15 with a bunch of animals in a state prison. And at what point did I ever mention that it is ok to commit a crime like this??? You should spend a month in a state prison and then post another ignorant comment goof!

This is my last comment, because you don't deserve my time. I feel very sorry for you and your family. I hope you never experience anything bad in your life

Be peaceful, friend. People are upset with the behaviour of the deceased. No one is blaming the family. People make their own choices.

Is it painful when a family member does something hurtful to themselves, family or others? Sure it is. We somehow feel either we need to feel guilty with them or defend the family. In reality, we need do neither.

This is a tragedy, but it will be replaced with a different one in a few hours. Only the pain of the family, those close to the family and the victims (the store clerk(s)) will remain.

Whatever horrible decisions this young man, my nephew, made during those last 48 hours of his life, he was a child who loved, who was loved, and who laughed and smiled easily. We who loved him know that he was not a loser and we saw the potential in him even though he did have those internal demons. We all thought that one day he would start to get his act together and life would become easier for him, but that didn't happen. None of us could have ever imagined this kind of ending for him, neither the original crimes nor the suicide on the frozen lake.

There are no winners here... the gas station clerks were terrorized, no doubt about it, and it will take some time for them to get over this. My nephew, a young man with so many strengths and so much to look forward to in life, is gone after doing some truly horrendous things.

For those of us who love him, the only thing left are the memories of him as a smiling, fun-loving young man and the reverberating question: Why?

He is not better off now. How wrong of you to say. Do you not have a family? Or do actually take 2 seconds to read what you wrote?
A poor child who never had ANY criminal record gets dragged into this mess, only to leave his family heartbroken. You dont know any part of this story. How WRONG it is for you to sit there and say that someone is better off because their 19 year old CHILD is dead. A loving family who already lost one child to cystic fibrosis is now better off because their 19 year old child is dead?
Yes, everyone understands what he did was wrong. No one is saying that what he did was okay, nor making excuses for it. Yes, he should be punished for his act...but by death? That isn't right.
Have a little compasion. Is strange that even the cahsiers that were robbed had compassion...and you dont. I was there when I saw the boys dad come in and speak to them. They cried when they heard the story. They understood. They were parents who felt for Clayton's parents.
So, grow up. Read what you write. No one is impressed that each of us pay tax dollars, he paid them too. Maybe you should make use of those tax dollars...you obviously need help if you think that some family should be HAPPY their child is dead.
This kid was no different than anyone else. He was scared and got DRAGGED into this. In fact, the other boy he was with was out on bond for dragging some other poor child, again with no criminal record, into another robbery in Illinois.
Clayton suffered from low self esteem and believed that this boy was his friend...clearly, not correct. Do you not know anyone who has low self esteem? Im sure you do if you sit here writing rediculous comments as you do.
So, before you write you next dumb response that someone is BETTER OFF DEAD, think again. He volunteered in homeless shelters, worked with the mentally retarded, and had more friends than Im sure anyone of us did.
Im sure youre angry, Mister random Minnesota man,but that does not give you an excuse to write some stupid comments after you know nothing besides a 10 sentence news article.
I feel bad for you...in fact, anyone that reads what you wrote will probably feel bad for you. Obviously you must not have any loved ones...and for that, I feel bad for you

oK, oK bLEEDING hEARTS.. tHE pERSON(S)/cRIMINALS aRE THE ONE'S THAT should be thinking they have a famial first , befreo doing those things and not use that as an excuse To do them..

Too many use that excuse..they have a family to feed crap, instead of just moving to Were theJobs are.. So many cry the blues or live in poverty, but don't want to move..

I moved 3 x in my life to were the Jobs are.. and you do what you have to do and go where the Jobs are.. and they Aren't in Rual towns or counties.. even cities with High Minority rates.. Just look at Detroit and other cities like them..

I moved to Chicago, drove a Limo 12-16 hrs a day, 7 days a week for 3 yrs.. made ave of $8 hr.. Rented a Room, sent most of the $ back home , here in Wi.

You don't go committing A Crime/Robbery , etc.. Just like you break into someone's home? Be prepred to give your life and be Shot.. or do you want that person to beat up or shoot your kids and spouse and then They get caught and Killed.. Do you feel sorry for the criminal now?

I didn't think so..
Let God Forgive them, but here on Earth, it doesn't work that way..

You are wrong. I do know the road I will go down and it will never include armed robbery! They did something stupid and they paid the price.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Libra

You're full of empathy and affection today, so it would be a shame not to spread it around. It's a marvellous day for a low-key get-together with some of the people you haven't seen during the past few days, because you'll enjoy having a good chat about what's been happening. Once your social duties are out of the way you'll love curling up on the sofa with a good book or a favourite film.
