This lawsuit is still in the works. After court decisions declaring that the firefighters had no case, the bleeding heart liberals in the Court of Appeals in Santa Fe declared that they have a case and sent it back to the District Court in Roswell. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for August 31, 2009, and a Jury Trial is scheduled for September 9, 2009. Both the hearing and the trial are at 9:00am in the 5th District Court Room #1 in Roswell. The presiding judge is Freddie Romero. This suit is shameful and an embarrassment to firefighters nationwide. The Roswell Daily Record needs to receive constant letters to their editor for publication, so that the citizens of Roswell, who will make up the jury, will be aware of the disgust felt by citizens and wholesome, ethical firefighters toward these greedy firefighters and their attorneys. Never in the history of firefighting, which includes fatal, horrific, disastrous fires in young girls' boarding schools, orphanages, crowded night clubs, hotels, etc., has any firefighter attempted to snag personal financial profit from innocent lives lost. Any rationalization that they are simply making El Paso Natural Gas pay for what they did is bogus. El Paso NG already has done this, to the surviving family members. If El Paso NG is forced to pay a single penny more, it should go to the surviving family, or to their memorial the Permian Basin Regional Training Center that is dedicated to their memory, not to these greedy firefighters. Their desire to secure funding for a comfortable retirement, or to send their kids to college at the expense of a decimated family is immoral.

Oh show me the money, the attorneys and the law clerk representing NPG are a bunch of corrupt drunks, liars, infidelitious ar and lowlife cons, they are no better than the firefighters, essentially the attorneys representing NPG are eager to find a scapegoat.
For the sake of karma, I hope the firefighters win. |

I also hope the firefighters win but for a much different reason. El paso should pay for the neglect that lead to why they are in court today. Just because they are firefighters doesn't mean you can intentionally hurt them without consiquences. If it were an individual that caused the deaths they would be in jail. Instead, elpaso has to pay the family what is pockey change to them and is forced to put money into their pipelines to repair them, that they should have spent in the first place. I don't know that the firefighters should get cash out of this, but el paso should have to pay, I'm not sure how elso our society allows that, other than to pay the firefighters. But it's about el paso paying to me. |
