Rude, crude and obnoxious crowd would be more accurate. Teague has been visiting with constituents around the District ever since he got elected. Those people didn't want to talk to him, they wanted to prevent him from talking with Roswell residents. What a disgrace for Roswell.

Oh, excuse us the taxpayers. Obama himself said in a February interview, "by necessity your utility bills will skyrocket". Obama and Congress hid E.P.A. studies that said Cap and Trade would have no effect on carbon emissions and they outed his junk science he was using to back it. This was simply a monstrous tax increase. If the Senate passes this we will not be able to sell our homes unless the Obama Nazi's deem our homes "green" enough to go to closing. Yet another government agency will be set up to plague us. I didn't get an invitiation to the Editor of the Washington Post's "Salon Dinner" so I could have private access to congress and high ranking members of the Obama administration. I guess Mr. TnT thinks we should all pound sand. Harry didn't vote for us, he voted with the same guys that crashed our economy with the Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae corruption. The news said that the calls to House offices was 20 to 1 against the bill. "A government by the people and for the people"? Harry and his congressional buddies probably need to stay in Washington where they are now from because coming back here is going to get them increasingly "rude, crude and obnoxious" feedback. |

Teague deserves the "rude talk" that he received. People are very angry and Washington continues to act like all is well. Well, it's not! They want to rush through all this legislation before the next election. They know they must do so because Americans are against what they are doing. They rush because they don't want anyone to read the legislation and analyze it to inform Americans what the real consequences are.
They are slitting their own throats, the next election they are out! |

In this post, I referenced an email response I received from Congressman Teague regarding cap-and-trade:
http://www.topix.net/forum/source/ruidoso-new... I wanted to also comment briefly on this response from Congressman Teague: "On June 26, I joined a bipartisan majority of colleagues to vote for this legislation." What, on earth, does "bipartisan majority" mean to Congressman Teague? The vote was 219-to-212 with only 8 Republicans voting YES, and 168 Republicans voting NO. Surely this is not a "bipartisian majority"? Furthermore, 44 Democrats had enough courage to vote NO, unlike Congressman Teague. Congressman Teague's "bipartisian majority" is a farce, and misleading (some would call it an outright lie). |

Harry is obviously from Washington now.

"Bipartisan means that some greater then usual deception is underway" George Carlin
Do you know what one term Harry's statement reveals? The Cap and Trade bill is so lengthy because every representative that voted for it was allowed to put some of their own personal junk in there as a way of buying their vote and hopefully insulating them from the inevitable voter fall out. In the 1994 election many Democrats lost their seats in congress over a similar bill they voted for. Harry put his amendments in there so he could come home and put his own icing on the turd in hope that we would eat the frosted turd and thank him. You can't bribe a congressman for his re-election killing vote without trying to give him something to hang his hat on and we have 1,300 pages of such turd icing. Harry, it's transparent and we get it and now you're going to get it. TnT thought the crowd was obnoxious? How obnoxious does he think it is that ole Harry keeps voting on bills he doesn't even read that will impact our lives in major ways. |

Really? If you think an "angry" crowd of "conservatives" materialized by itself I want to see what you're smoking!
The GOP has targeted Congressman Teague (who happens to be a bit conservative himself) from day one after his election. It's the same blind opposition to anything and everything having to do with the Democrat Party or Democrats individually. Teague is doing an incredible job for a freshman in his attention to and compliance with his constituents wishes. He doesn't just represent a bunch of "angry" naysayers who want to monopolize his time with a group confrontation. Gotta know a put-up job when you see one! The GOP has used this tactic to death. Sorry, we ain't buying it! |
I'm not a republican. The calls to his office were overwhelming against Cap and Trade so on what level was he "representing his constituents" by passing a bill he didn't even read.
| ||||
I am not a Republican either. I couldn't get through the phone lines nor could any of my family that tried calling.
You may not be "buying it", but you bought Barry's b/s, hook line and sinker. Wonderful. You should be proud. |
I believe Teague was one of the 20 or so Democrats that were against the bill initially but allowed the Washington insiders to twist his arm. He is not strong enough to represent us and I know that he is feeling like shit about it.
We need someone with balls to represent Americans. We don't need or want someone who craters to arm twisting.
Every time we send them to Washington they become one of them instead of one of us.

And you know this how?? |

I know a man who wrote to Teaque's office recently with his concerns and received a written reply asking him to not write again, that he, Teaque, was not interested in the opinions and concerns of the man's age demographics (50).
There, Ladies and gentlemen, is our elected official. I don't care what party he belongs to, he is the the man we are supposed to look to for representation. |
Why don't you call his office and ask them? |
He admitted in the Roswell meeting he didn't read it. Said that's what his staff did for him.
And the staff memeber he was referring to looked in his early 20's. Glad to know we have experienced people interpreting these 1200 page bills. I guess Congressman Teague was too busy getting beat up by Nancy Pelosi.
Like Sunny called it: "one term Harry".
I did not vote for Mr. Teague, but I hope those that did will not forget this bill. He needs to be voted out of office - plain and simple. |
Yeah; when Steve Pearce was Congressman from CD2 he read every page of every bill and every amendment to every bill TWICE!
yuk yuk yuk and Steve Pearce never had angry liberals disrupt his town hall meetings because he never let malcontents in the door. Them were the good ol' days! |
You Liberals are slittin' your own throats. Keep it up, please! Makes for a better election next year. |
