Why do they keep quoting Chabot? The man has nothing intelligent to say. Medical Marijuana is here to stay, Chabot is already history. He just doesn't know it yet!

From the article: The report noted that there are "substantially better alternatives" for glaucoma and chemotherapy patients.

Substantially better for whom: the drug companies, or the patients? Also, the best drug for person A is not always the same as the best drug for person B.

Imagine how much safer you would be if we ended the "War on Drugs".
Prices would go down. Gangs would lose their livelihood.
Cops couldn't search you for extremely small items.

That last report noted statement may be reworded: There are "substantially better alternatives" for glaucoma and chemotherapy patients that put a substantial amount of money into the pockets of our medical industry. We don't want to loose that cash flow. To protect ones industry and livelyhood is to be expected I guess.
The historical significance of this announcement is really huge. I must admit it took the AMA a longtime to do this but they have finally stood up and acknowledged that something is wrong and must be fixed. Thanks to all the medicinal cannabis supporters who have stood their ground. The public's outcry, data and research has finally been heard by this group.
