Thank you officer for catching the criminals. The officer should get a promotion for stopping such criminals. I hope this time the judge locks the criminals up for life! Any less of a sentence would be inappropriate. We need harsher laws for criminals to let them know their inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated! Stop catering to criminals people. Demand that your representatives support harsher sentences for violent crimes and for crimes of invasion of property!

I bet he claims that he wasnt part of the burglary and a friend chirped him and urgently told him to come to the area where the police just happened to catch him.Watch and see what excuse he comes up with. Just about anything works now days.

This guy will probably do more time in jail for the burglary than he did for the murder.....great job to law enforcement community for getting another one off the streets and in jail where he belongs....

Well I can hardly believe my eyes as I read this article about Mr. Monk. As a charter Valley Victorian of the SB Mayor’s Phoenix Program, how could this rehabilited upstanding parolee be involved in any crime AGAIN? After all, the murder of Mynisha Crenshaw was to date the highlight of his proud list of accomplishments. Now the police have captured him in Redlands in the commission of ANOTHER crime…say it is not so, please!! Don’t say that this ex-convict did not gain from the fruits of SB Mayor’s 2nd, or 3rd or 4th lease on life he gave him. There must be some misunderstanding. I am sure when Mr. Monk goes to trial for this latest offence, he will confess and squeal on his buddies (again) and promise never, never to do bad things again and then will walk freely amongst us holding his head high.

Yes, this is another classic example of parolee’s given ANOTHER chance by folks like the Mayor of SB. After all, he wants to throw open the doors of SB and welcome many more into his rehabilitation Phoenix efforts. And to think, the citizens of SB re-elected the Mayor for 4 more years of rehabilitation efforts too! Now you tell me, which is worse? Those who commit the crime or those who fail to recognize these individuals for what they are and fail to support efforts to put them away forever.

Why was this clown even allowed to be bailed out. He should not have even been considered for release. Something is wrong with the system that lets these" things" occur.

Great job Parole Officer, and you had no idea Monk was associating with known gang members etc. etc. Now will his Parole officer have to answer for this?

hey mike, you cannot blame the parole agent. they are over worked and are taking several furlough days. How can the agent possibly keep track of everyone on his case load....im sure he does have a life outside of his job!

Wow, my previous posts were deleted. Censorship right here at The Sun, who would have thought? I stated why is this P O S, low-life, s c um - b a g, waste of space doing running around free to commit more crimes. When I typed s c u m b a g it was shown as asterisks. I also said that sometimes the herd needs to be thinned out and he ought to be on the list. Guess his mother must have complained that her little angel was being dissed.

This has nothing to do with the mayor, this has to do with the OVERALL justice system and the mayor doesn't believe in giving murderers of children second chances, only drug users.
