i go to school with dj's cousin
raven and carlos.and it hurts because
i see her trying her best to smile
and not think about the fact that her cousin
is gone.my brother got killed june 4th,2008
in a drive by shooting in north carolina
and nobody knows who did it.he has a two
year old daughter that we love so much.
i hope they find who did this to dj.and he
gets what he derserve

Tracy and Family......I am so very sorry. Words cannot express. Whomever did this didn't have the same heart as DJ, and will suffer tremendously for this senseless act. I didn't know DJ, but because I know you, my heart hurts for you and the family. Kudos to you for having a forgiving heart. It will only strengthen you more and make you stronger person. I love you guys!!!!!! God Bless everyone!! And P.S....Tammy looks just like Doris!!!!

When I first heard that Duane "DJ" Hopkins was no longer here on earth with us i was in the car with my mother than i got a phone call from my sister, she didnt tell me what happened untill 30 minutes in to our convosation. when she finally got it out all i could do is sit there in silence with tears falling down my face because he was like a long lost cousin to me.lol To know that some one you love dearly can be taken from you with out any warnings is crazy. Ily Raven, Ci-Ci, Carlos and aunt Tammy, my prayers goes out to the rest of his family that i dont know.

Mann i never thought it would be DJ. I had overheard a conversation and they said "DJ got shot, DJ got shot.!" And of all people i would never think it to be Duane. It killed me inside. At first it took a minute for it to actually sink in, but when it did the first phone call i made was to my lil sister. It is truly devastating and this teen on teen and black on black violence needs to end. I wish i could have him back. I wish i could spend at least a little more time with him. I wish the family well and many blessings.

MAN I KNEW DJ FROM HILLTOP IM FRM DISTRICT HEIGHTS AND WE USE TO CHILL AT THE REC AND STUFF MAN I WAS HURT WHEN FOUND OUT DJ HAD PAST AND I HEARD IT IN A CONVERSTATION THAT MY FRIENDS WHERE TALKIN ABOUT THEY WHERE CRYING SAYIN. HE WAS A GOOD KID AND ALL MAN RIP D LOVE WE LOVE AND MISS U HT7G THE HOOD MISS U BRUH LOOK OVA US... I WILL SEE U WHEN I GET THERE!!!
