City Hall has hired an executive from a Texas beach resort to serve as the assistant city manager, selecting him from a field of nearly 200 people who had wanted the position.

This is a HUGE waste of money. If the city manager needs an assistant then we need a new city manager... not another $100K + bureaucrat position in city government.

I disagree. The man rarely kept his word in the 5 years he was here. Especially on the little, easily accomplished things he promised.
