Lots of police and maybe helicopter flying over head. Got shuffled out of Kaleidoscope theater through back doors what is going on?!!!

according to my husband, a security officer at the Kaleidoscope, the swat team is there trying to make sure that there are NO hostages inside of Rip Tide, but they are not sure yet.

I have seen quite a bit of police activity in my day. I would be extremely suprised (by what police activity i saw) that this is a gun threat.

he got a call stating to have everyone evacuated and when he asked why, the other security officer told him that there was a gun threat at the Rip Tide and Police were telling them to evacuate everyone. then he called me to see if anything was on the news. He told me that there were at least three helicopters above him and a swat team was there surrounding the Rip Tide trying to check for hostages. I have not heard anything else since. and I can't get a hold of him to ask for more info. sorry

Thanks AAMM! My family lives one block away in the Camden Apartments so we are concerned. Still no new on the TV. Thannks for the updates. I will continue to monitor this site.

I was IN the Riptide. They let us out almost an hour ago, but they still had the place surrounded. I've heard a bunch of stories...but nothing concrete. However the swat team DID walk through the restaurant (guns drawn), and I overheard that "he went through the freight elevator".

The guy got out of the Rip Tide restaurant and police arrested him off of Kaleidoscope property. Everything is over with. Have a ood night everyone!! you can rest easy now! Just got that info from my husband/Security officer! let me know if you want more details.

My mom knows all the bartenders in riptide, and they all said that some kid shot somebody in the mission mall, and ran over to riptide to hangout..police evacutated kscope cause they didnt what else he was going to do...thank god nobody else was hurt
