You should be so lucky!
Once you realy get done seeing all the plays, reading all the poetry - possibly a few times, as they happen to become a intoxicating acquired taste quite fast - then, it becomes difficult to find anything quite as satisfying, quite as interesting. And even looking back, the first read has irreplaceable flavour.
Basically, if Shakespeare's output is 'too long' for you, it is a blessing in disguse.
These being said, taking The Bard slowly has other advantages: you can keep saying 'I am taking my time with Sakepeare' for over a year, and it would still sound like the confession of a profound reader rather then a lazy one.

[on a personal note: it took me several years to read Shakesperae, but it has only rarely been the only book on the coffee table. It got worn in like jeans and leather. In the end, I have set aside a slim list of 'likes' from the whole tome of complete works. And my English got a tad funny.]
