Well if they are so stupid and careless - that is their problem - what I resent is the fact that tax money is paying for thiei medications from their carelessness.

There's no fool like an old fool ! I would think that by the time you reach your senior years you would know better to engage in unprotected sex after a liftime of experience ! Even if the older generation isn't personally familiar with some of the "newer' std's, if nothing else, they must be familiar with syphillis and gonorrhea since those wo have been around forever - and surely they must have their heads in the sand on purpose since there's been enormous amounts of public information, discussion and coverage of AIDS and Herpes for over 20 years now -after all, all you have to do is turn on the TV and see all those Valtrex commercials - now there are even HPV commercials. Sorry to sound so cold, but I don't have a lot of sympathy for these "old folks" - can't believe they've lived so many years and learned absolutely nothing !!

I live in a 55plus community and there sure isn't any std's going on here!! Very little sex the best I can tell.

Once again, TV news falls for an unfounded rumor. The piece quoted one unnamed doctor who offered no data to back up the point. It was all anecdotal.
TV news does not subject itself to the same standards as newspapers -- the latter always look for at least one corroboration.

I am a retired person in The Villages. In my spare time, I have conducted some research on Dr. McQuade. Apparently, she is nothing more than a drama queen and a very lousy doctor. This looks to me like a Google search that caught a person who is irrelevant. Looks to me like an actress named Colleen McQuade, improbable as that seems, not the MD with the same name. But maybe she is pursuing two careers? Has a split personality?

I am 30 years old and disgusted by how some people on this board act. I hope that when you are all old no one takes care of you. Which means you will die a lonely and pathetic death.

So what is our taxes are paying for the elderly's medication. Those elderly that you are so hot to condem took care of us and most of them fought for our freedom.

Wow Becky, intelligence isn't your strong suit is it? They're costing us additional money by not using protection. The Villages is very hot on partying and sex, in my experience from living there. One thing to consider is a lot of the old men can't even wear a condom anymore. So, they should make the smart decision and refrain from sex with people they don't know, rather than purposely choose to spread a horrible disease.

None of them took care of me, as my father died before he was able to retire. Also, many of them did not fight for our freedom as well.
I gripe about elderly medication because many of them aren't even living anymore and should have died 20 years ago.

I didn't know about this until my brother in Oregon told me & I only live 12 miles from these old farts. I think it is funny that this high moral Republican area is so active!!!! This should knock the slats out from under a few of these newly weds or nearly deads.
