They didn't mention that the driver of the truck was drunk and pulled in front of her doing at least 70 miles an hour. After impact he fled the scene on foot. K-9 units tracked him down shortly thereafter. I hope he never again sees the light of day. R.I.P. Alyssa

I still cant believe it!!
Isn't it terrible that the drunk drivers never seem to be the ones that get hurt!?
I'm so angry I could scream!

Alyssa you are dearly missed. Such a a tragic shame that you two were just starting your lives and it ended so soon.
Now you will forever be an angel...look after Damien for all of us. I pray that he will be ok through all of this.

How dare you people to condemn a man who has not even gone to trial. Who are you to judge anyway??? We live in America where you are INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!!!!

If your going to post nonsense, at the very least get your FACTS STRAIGHT!!! What you are stating is INCORRECT!!!!

This whole situation is a terrible accident. Instead of posting crap, you should be praying for all of the individuals involved!!!!

Ah, you are a friend of the drunk moron who killed her. Well, talk to the police department. That is where my facts come from. How dare you defend that killer? It is NOT an accident when a drunk driver kills a young woman and then flees the scene. His guilt was proven with the breathalizer. He has ensured his place in hell for this.

DA evidence or not, the information I have is from my family who spoke to the police that apprehended this guy after he fled the scene. His speedometer was stuck at 70 mph. He cut in front of her doing that speed after 3 am... That coupled with the fact that he ran like a coward (rather than stay and attempt to help Alyssa) is all the evidence I need. Even IF he wasn't drunk (which we already know he was) he murdered an innocent young woman and ran. I maintain my original comment; "I hope he never again sees the light of day".

Ok did they tell you how far away he was from the site when the dogs found him 20’ away unconscious may be the impact can be the Alcohol could have been ejected, he did have plenty of time to get away, now can you make a 90 deg. Turn at 70 MPH from a dead stop to 70 MPH and travel 60'. do not pass judgment he was wrong but we will all need to judged later for our actions and words.
I am sorry for your loss I really am I pray every day for Alyssa and I also pray for a fair and speedy trial so that we can all put this behind us.

I WILL pass judgement, my family member is dead! All of the sudden you know details? Earlier we were supposed to wait for the DA. Keep talking in circles while the cause of this tragedy is alive and well. Pretend the role was reversed, would you care about the person that killed your family? Your comments are seriously upsetting me. Defend that moron to me again and I'll put his name here so his family can feel as much shame as we feel remorse.

did any one see the cars because i did and there was no way the way the cars looked that the truck pulled in front of her there was no evidence of tire marks that shows the truck making that kind of sharp a turn at that rate of speed. i pray for all parties involved in this accident and will not judge some one tell there is the official report on how the accident happened from the investigators of the accident.
