La Verne's David and Margaret Home set to celebrate 100 years serving young people

You cannot believe the amount of trouble and police activity that the D&M home causes for us, the local neighbors. D&M girls need to be better screened to determine if they are truly suitable for the facility and the staff needs to do a LOT more to control the girls. I would prefer to see the site totally shut down.

No, it's a valid complaint. It's supposed to be a "Home," not the LaVerne State Penitentiary for Women.

If the staff is well-meaning but weak, if rules are not enforced, the David & Margaret Home is a danger to the community and the young women who live there.

And Charles Rich should take some responsibility. He should deal with this issue before it gets into the mainstream press, "girls' school gone wrong," etc.

In my experience, teaching high school, you could remove five percent of the current residents and get a hundred percent improvement. You can't allow a small group of hardcore residents to run the staff.

That is unfair to the women, unfair to the staff and unfair to the neighbors.

Is it true that d&m has alot of racial tension if so is that what causes most of the fights
