Any Objection to forming a new Livestock Show in LaPorte?

I do believe it will be hard for others to trust this board again. I think the organization needs to replace all board members. With a new board people would probably trust them easly. Start over with a new face of board members. If the old board stays less people will trust them. Less parents will let there kids show in the show. Then the show will dissolve.

Has any confirmed if she went to Milby High School? I think I know this peron.

From this statement it sounds as if the books were tainted prior to this board coming on. If this is the case why should the current board be responsible for the misdeeds of others?

Reread the statement. It does not say this particular organization has had "tainted books" prior it says they have know of other instances where this has happened.

The news story on channel 13 looked very serious to me, the officer was talking of theft in excess of $50,000. I doubt this will go away without charges.

Volunteerism is a wonderful thing, but when it comes to finances hire a professional.

This is all getting blown out of the water the board members should not step down. They work hard year round to help these kids its not there fault that someone decided to put their hand in the cookie jar. This is all volunteer they dedicate plenty of themselves and time to this organization.

Who is suppose to be watching the cookie jar? If not the Board, then Who? Check and Balance financial report and written minutes given once a month at meeting with all members present that choose to be there?

Just curious, but are these dues paying members?

The board had to know what was going on! Someone on that board beside her is also guilty. Thats if she is guilty at all. To get this organization back on tract thats whats its going to take, to start over get new people.

You are worried about dues!!! when a CRIME has been committed. So are you saying that only those who pay there due's can convict this person. So sorry that will not happen. Who ever is envolved will stand in the eye's of a court and I bet then you won't ask if the judge has payed his due's.

Wow is correct. My thought in asking was what all money this "missing money" entailed. You are jumping to conclusions, my dear. And this one was mistaken.

At one time La Porte could show at Pasa. but did not like they way it was run so they started this show. Now people have been caught stealing! Why is anyone surprised?

La Porte has never shown at Pasadena. The FFA has been invited to show through Pasadena for years and has declined.

Maybe they trusted this person to be honest.Why would they not trust someone that is a parent and
is always working with kids. The wroung people are being acused of something they had nothing to do with. You will not find a better group of people that always willing to help.

If that is true, and they want to be so helpful, then they should not have a problem understanding the best thing for this association and these kids is for them to step down and to allow new board members to try and pick up the pieces of the mess they LET HAPPEN. Why don't people understand, if someone steps up and takes the positions and responsibility of the "title" as well as any advantages that go along with that, then they must also take some responsibility for NOT preventing this situation. It does not take a rocket scientist to see all of the clues and red flags that were, for whatever reason - ignored!

I stayed for 4 years after my daughter graduated from La Porte High School.
The changes I wanted to see were for ALL the kids to be treated the same. I have seen rules set for one child that were different for ones that were not in the “Click” and no it was not my child. There are kids out there who could not get help from board members or even the FFA teacher because they were not in the “ Click” I watched it year after year. With no changes. I still have friends that show at La Porte and they tell me of the same things happening over and over.

It was always said that anyone could look at the books anytime. I personally had asked to see them and no one ever got around to meeting with me.
I just do not understand why anyone is surprised this has happened. You people have blinded yourself to what you did not want to see. And who pays? Well the kids of course! And they will grow up thinking this person got away with it so they can be dishonest and commit crimes as well.

And yes years ago La Porte kids could show at Pasadena. Certain members who are now part of the board did not like the way Pasadena was run so they started La Porte. Well they got what they wanted did they not. They run this show for the benefit of certain kids.

This board has taken away your right as a member to vote or have any say in what happens in this show. They control everything and if you look at it their kids are the ones winning at La Porte but do not do as well at other show. At one point you had animal leaders who monitored how the kids were doing and offered advice and help while the child was raising that animal. And yes it was hard to find people who wanted to do this but it worked for those kids who wanted to show but had no help!!!!
Of course that was stopped because it did not benefit certain kids!!!!

Take the blinders off and LOOK!!! The FFA teacher even left !

This police investigation on the Association is on the front page of the La Porte Bayshore Sun. Don't ask me why, but I was kinda surprised.
