None of the claims of the Mayor of Downey or anyone else mean anything until a contract is signed. Long Beach is at least competing for the project. Good luck to Tesla.

Downey should be the choice. At least they will be a long term partner and not just do a bait and switch. I would not have much faith in Long Beach as they have a problem telling the truth. This partnership needs to be done with an ethical city. Downey is the best choice.

Tesla would be well advised to recall when Bonnie Lowenthal worked tirelessly to break the agreement which the City instigated in order to get the Hotels built which serve our Convention Center.

A City which elects pols who work to break agreements which the City generated to entice investors?

That should disqualify Long Beach from ANY talk of investment from any source.

Whatever they decide, they had better get to it.
If they plan on beginning production in 2011. Installing all of that equipment cant be done overnight. That makes me wonder if they even know what they are doing. Make a decision already!

Another brilliant move, by socialists in government.

Maybe when people suffer enough, they will stop voting these loons into office.

Nice job mayor. Take a bow.

Maybe Foster thought that Tesla jobs would bring the wrong element into Long Beach. Citizens who work for a living. He and the council prefer sad sacks who suck off of others to productive citizens. Serially hopeless Sad Sacks always vote for anything with a D beside it's name on a Ballot.

I think D and R are both in trouble right now. Maybe we voters should all go out en masse and change our registration to "Independent" That would drive everyone on the "hill" absolutely bonkers. It would be a fun show though.

BTW. Does anyone know whatever happened to the Young Democrats and the Young Republicans? It seems that they were able to rescue the party structure in the past. Maybe they abdicated and are now Independents?

Foster was busy visiting China for ideas on how to run a city. He was gone quite a while. He's a bit of a fat idiot.

I already made that move right after Villagairosa stood before a half a million illegals in downtown la and referred to them as WE and made complete fools of the Democrats who trusted him with the Mayors office by referring to them as ... THEY.

Wonder if some one from Tesla was at the Council meeting when Bonnie L's Communist Group came in demanding that Sierra Suites be banned from Long Beach in favor or nothing.

That would have sent Tesla, or any other potential employer, RUNNING to Downey.
