I have heard that one of the ways they treat blood diseases and some cancers is to is to force the bone marrow to push stem cells out into the blood stream and then collect them in the same way as platelets are collected. Does this have any possibilites for people who need other stem cell therapy? The cells are provided by a matching donor.
