Just to let everyone know, as of this date my GuidePlus is STILL WORKING!!!!! It is so handy to have this feature when I'm in the "Couch-Potatoe" mode!!!!! Hopefully it will still be working when we go to the "Digital" world, here in June sometime. Anyway.... Good Luck to all trying to get their's back!!! Keep trying!!!

Lost the guide a few weeks ago, for 1 week. Had it back for two weeks and now it's out again. Comcast wants to give me (for one year) their digital starter kit box. I still don't see how that is going to make MY GUIDE work. I have asked them if this is about the digital switchover why is it on again, off again. They have no answers. I would like to know if anyone has found a box of any kind that brings back guide plus. I've seen the comcast guide it's worthless. I would be in on a class action lawsuit. You surely would think that RCA or macromedia or whomever it is that owns guide plus now would be right on top of this. Frustrating....

Mine, too! I wonder if it has anything to do with changing over to digital TV? My set is an old one.
Have you had any luck finding out a solution?

I don't know how or why, but, about a month ago our RCA Guide Plus channel line-up has started working again. I went through the on screen
set-up process many times on many different days. I'm holding my breath and crossing my fingers that it stays.
I don't know if my complaint to COMCAST had anything to do with it or not. If it did, I don't like the game they are playing.

I complained to COMCAST also and was told I needed a converter box. Apparently this is not true. Norma, did you need to hook up a converter box? I haven't hooked it up yet hoping that the Guide Plus will return. It worked for over two years without interruption until about two weeks ago.

Hello everyone! I am so glad that I came across this site because I can help!!!!!!!
I love my RCA TV with the Guide Plus feature. When there are problems, "who ya gonna call?" The Guide Plus Techies!!!!!! This is the number to call: 1-800-386-7380. You will need to listen to the voice prompts. Then you will leave your name, phone number, zip code and the time of day you can be reached.(good to have a swing shift, stay at home mom, etc.) I have had them correct Guide Plus transmission errors at least 3 times. This last one was due to a helicopter crashing into a station's tower 2 years ago. The techs at Guide Plus are very helpful. It may take a little time and some technical research on their part but if they can fix your problem, they will. The number is: 1-800-386-7380.
As to the discontinuace of Guide Plus, from what I understand it is the "analog" type that will not be compatible with any of the all-digital programming required in a couple of years. The fault is with the sneaks who pushed the legislative bill through to "require" us regular people to have digital instead of analog TV! I think this is required by 2010.
Hope all of this helps everyone. I found the number on the web, by the way, about 4 years ago. I have had my RCA Guide Plus TV since May 2000. Lots of miles on that one...I'm an insominac night owl!!! LOL
Thanks for this! I had lost my Guide Plus, but it is back this a.m. I guess it goes thru the cable satellite which is now digital.

No converter box or any additional equipment needed. Started receiving the Guide again out of the blue. I can't figure why it comes and goes.

Go into the guide plus setup and go to options. You will be able to turn it off there.

I never subscribed to this - don't know what it is or how it suddenly showed up on my tv - knocking out my cable abilities! I don't know how to disable it or get rid of it. I've had this tv for about 6 years and suddenly, I have this guideplus screen that obscures my regular tv viewing! I have lost even that as my tv is now fussy static. Can anybody help tell me how to get rid of it?

If you bring up Guide Plus by using your remote and go to Guide Plus Setup and select "options". There you can select to turn OFF the guide plus from automatically coming up on your screen every time you turn on your TV. As to why you just starting receiving guide plus after 6 years is a mystery, but, I'd bet your cable provider has been blocking this signal up until you started receiving it. There are many of us who have been fighting our cable providers to stop blocking so we CAN receive guide plus. They say they can't block anything, but, whose controlling the services we receive? THEY DO. I sure don't receive any service that they don't make me pay for.

Does anyone in Central Florida who has Brighthouse receive the TV Guide Plus any longer? I did up until they went digital. Brighthouse says they never did broadcast it but that is BS. I received it for 4 years before now. When I call now they say they don't know what I'm talking about. BUT... Comcast in South Florida still broadcast TV Guide Plus.
